Well, you can REST assured, cabos, and resort areas are more than safe. Cartels only care about other cartels, and drugs. So unless you do one of those things, then I would not worry. I travel around the world frequently, and see a whole lot, aside from basic internet knowledge. And its the best place to expierence for culture is playa very little tourists especially around mammitas beach only because there is no huge hotel. Check it out. You can also rent great condos for like a week all pretty much under 1000$ vacation rentals.com
Any nice beach like this in mexico with no tourist? I like the weather in Mexico. Always sunny. But no like tourist, I like the locals, experience real people and culture of Mexico.

ese video es de un hotel que se llama windham maya, yo estuve en mayo del 2007. estuvo genial. me divertí mucho con dos italianas y con una francesita. pero prefiero las mexicanas. en esa ocasion viaje solo.
