were convinced to fight themselves, and much of the slaughter of the people was not run by the Buffalo Soldiers, but by the White soldiers in charge. Humans across this Earth have had a hard time since the invasion of the West, but the sicknesses we express shouldn't be believed to erase or discount the positive things, like surviving. The Buffalo Soldiers, Native Peoples, Africans, ours is a story of survival and in many ways the same.

Sadly that is true. But there is more to the history than that. They fought in Europe against the Nazis, fought in the Civil War for their freedom, fought in Cuba with the army largely composed of Africans fighting for their freedom. Truly in the land they were enslaved in their initial struggles toward freedom and a living, were turned toward killing Native people by those who enslaved the Black people and ran the genocide of the Natives.
