I got this vinyl when it first came out in the 70s and I still have the same one to this day. It's still in great shape. This was one of my faves off of the album and Fanny.
Melody wise it does not get better than this. Lyrics....um.....I'll be nice and pass on a comment. I do love this song though. High school years for me when I got the Live...at Last LP and saw them live on this tour in Oakland, CA. Pre-SNF.
Great song, great lyrics and great vocals. One of their best. They have so MANY great songs that they will be remembered for their talent.Saturday Night was only a phase.
Great song great vocals and great lyrics.Great live performance. The Bee Gees will be remembered for more than Saturday Night. They have just so many great songs.
I remember recording this show on my cassette recorder by putting the microphone up to the TV speaker when I lived at Shaw AFB in 1976. Thanks for a great post.
@camerawork3 the bee gees were my tenage years. i have all their albums from 1975 till now. god nless maurice and andy. iwill be a fan for the resy my life. i love edge of the unerverse
i listner that song at 1977 august impossible to forget the winter of that year wonderfull song of the bee geesand it¡s on my chart of 100 songs from 1977
this was a big hit single and my favorite bee gees song. however, it is never included in their greatest hits albums--any of them. does anyone know why this is?
i've found that greatest hits albums are not usually as good as the real album, a band as good as the beegees doesnt even need a GH album. i just went with the whole discography
@BeeGees78 yes. THE BEE GEES were so highly touted by the movie during the disco era. Barry said it almost destroyed their careers. anyway they continued to work hard & they accomplished a lot.
One of my most favorite Bee Gees songs that never really got any air time. An under rated classic !! I have been looking all over YT for this song. Thanks soooo much for posting this song nyrainbow2...

And an honorary "B" Gee, Blue Weaver on keyboards. He was VERY important to the sound of the Bee Gees.

I have to agree. Disco and Saturday Night Fever was great at the time but looking back it was an abberation for a truly great band...just my opinion.

So sad that these guys let disco rear it ugly head on their albums.

It's a great song anyway :).

When George Martin discovered them, he saw best of the black funky music with some incredible harmonies. Of course, he never told.
I still see the same thing as in 1975: a wonderful band.

It's such a shame that gems like this will always be overshadowed by Saturday Night Fever, although those tracks are pretty good as well.
