  • Amen

  • amen

  • Thank you so much for the help, I appreciated it! :)

  • I'm pretty sure those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, he will not only give us eternal life in heaven, he will also quicken the dead and ressurect them for the eternal kingdom of jerusalem he promised in revelations.

Fellow saints! Look to the skies! Your redemption is at hand. Jesus is returning for his people

  • And in parts in the Bible like John 5:28-29 or 1 Peter 3:19-30 and 1 Peter 4: 5, 6, that talk about the dead and spirits, do they mean spirits in purgatory? These three examples are what I think are strong evidence to purgatory, so please correct me if I am wrong in my interpretation. Also read Matthew 18: 21-35, it talks about prison and paying until everything is paid, is this a verse supporting purgatory too? Is not having mercy a Venial Sin that puts us in purgatory?

  • And I noticed something very strange, please read Mark 9:28-29. I thought only fallen angels are considered "evil spirits." Is it possible that if spirits suffer too long in purgatory, that they will be broken into evil? That's scary to think about, the certain "spirits" can only come out through pray must be spirits of purgatory right?

  • @YouHaveBeauty, once in Purgatory, you will eventually go to Heaven. So be glad there is a Purgatory because we are all sinners and none of us are perfect nor clean. Please read in Revelations where it says that nothing unclean will enter into the Kingdom.

  • @1Hope4All So, let's make something clear for EVERYONE that Protestants keep arguing, they say purgatory is a second chance, which is belittling Jesus' death on cross. But isn't it true that in the Catholic belief that Him dying on the cross is also what cleanses and forgives the sins of those who are in purgatory?

  • @YouHaveBeauty, purgatory is NOT a second chance. Whoever tells you that is WRONG. We only have ONE chance. The ONE chance is given to us by God through His Son dying on the Cross and shedding His BLOOD for us. Purgatory cleanses us of any venial sin and it also purifies us because nothing unclean can enter into Heaven. We also have temporal punishment DUE To our sins and we have to be purified from that.

  • @1Hope4All Can you please tell me the concept of venial sins? How come Jesus' death on the cross doesn't wash that away? And also, how can you skip purgatory, since no one is perfect, how would they remove that temporal punishment?

  • @YouHaveBeauty, EVERY SIN is wiped clean by the death of Jesus on the cross! We just have to accept the graces that come from the blood of Jesus to wipe all our sins away. If you commit a grave (mortal) sin, such as fornication and you do not repent from it, that does not automatically get wiped from His blood. We have to be truly sorry and confess our sins just as Jesus asked us to "confess your sins to one another" and pray for each other. If we are not sorry, we do not get forgiven.

  • @YouHaveBeauty, A venial sin is a sin that will not send us straight to hell. A venial sin is not a grave or mortal sin. There are sins which are not deadly sins. Those smaller sins do not completely separate us from God but they do have consequences in the end if we do not repent or if we are not fully aware or just forget. Those lesser sins can be purged clean in Purgatory. And Purgatory is only because of God's mercy as Jesus died on the cross for us.

  • @YouHaveBeauty, please see 1 John 5:16-17 for mortal and venial sins. They are not labeled exactly as such. But sin which leads to death is MORTAL sin and sin which does not lead to death is VENIAL sin.

    Peace & Love in Christ

    Sandra

  • @YouHaveBeauty, confessing our sins; Jas 5:16 "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."

  • @YouHaveBeauty: Confessing our sins to a Priest; Jn 20:22-23 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

We have to tell our sins to a priest so they know which sins are to be withheld from forgiveness. I have never gone to Confession to a Priest where he withheld forgiveness. But Priests have done that before.

  • Please help! What exactly is purgatory? I honestly had experiences with spirits in haunted houses. Are those spirits that are attached to the house souls that are in purgatory? Even if you disagree that "ghost" exist, please help the best you can, I trust in your reply. I'm really worried about suffering spirits who dwell in prison.

  • Thank you for this video, it is so beautiful!

  • This makes me cry as it something I hold very dear too my Heart.... if only the whole world could stop for 30 seconds and say this prayer in Union just the once Imagine all the souls that wud be saved.

I think Even God wud be so pleased too see such a commpassionate act as we all stand together in Union and He Hears it all at the same time.

I think It would save more than Just the Holy souls of Purgatory, I Believe it wud make us the Union as he made us too be, One with Him who IS Heaven :-)

  • Really beautiful vid & AMAZING song!Have you got the score for the song?I wish to sing it when I say the chaplet!

  • Thank you, I Hope For All. Yes, very important to pray for our brothers and sisters in purgatory esp the ones who have no one to pray for them.

    Very moving and heartfelt video.

    Again, as always thank you!!!!

  • lovely video... "eternal father i ofer thee the most precious blood of thy most beloved son jesus along with the masses said throughout the world today for he sake of the holy souls in the purgatory amen.

  • The quote I just posted is from Father Pacwa. This is the debate that convinced me of the existence of purgatory. You can view the whole debate here on youtube. However, the heart of the debate is in part 7. /watch?v=8D9Ne6hyEPY&feature=related

  • @MilitaryMan68564, I saw that debate. Father Mitch Pacwa is great. I saw him in person for a talk he gave in Illinois. God bless Father Mitch.

  • "The sacrifice of Christ will transform me entirely. If there are still areas where I have not yet been transformed, that indicates that I have not yet fully appropriated the sacrifice of Christ. The reason that it's a suffering, is not because God wants to torture us, but rather the way that my ego changes, is precisely by dying to itself. That process of dying to itself is a painful process. If the soul after death still sins, then the grace of Christ needs to be there to transform them yet."

  • @MilitaryMan68564, you understand Purgatory very well. :) But I hope you know you can have your "Purgatory" right here on earth while you're still alive. And you said it, we have to die to ourselves and allow God to take over. He must increase and I must decrease.

  • I'm not Catholic, but I believe! This song is beautiful! I am a Christian that struggles with sin, and purgatory makes good sense to me. Father Pacwa's debate with protestant Dr. Martin convinced me on purgatory! He really understands Catholic doctrine. Matt. 5:25-26 has nothing to do with purgatory! It is not where Christians go to pay for sins. Christ paid for our sins. It is where Christians go to be completely purified of sin, by Christ, before entering heaven.

  • @MilitaryMan68564, Purgatory is for those who have already been forgiven of their mortal sins. You are correct. If we have not been forgiven of any mortal sins then we go straight to hell. But it's better put this way; those who have not accepted the forgiveness of God go straight to hell. Because God will forgive if only we ask. Purgatory is for the temporal punishment due to sin that has already been forgiven.

  • @1hope4all, Thanks for your replies, and thanks for your videos. I enjoy them very much and they help bring me closer to our savior! As I stated before, I am not Catholic. However, the more I study the Catholic church the more I am convinced it is the one true church. I am thinking about going to confession for the first time around Easter. I am not really sure what to do. I guess I should talk to a priest prior to going? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you:)

  • @MilitaryMan68564, the first thing you should do is enroll in an RCIA class so that you can learn the faith. You do not need to "make a pledge" to become Catholic at the end of that class. But once you start taking that class more than likely you will want to become Catholic.

  • @MilitaryMan68564, In the meantime, you could go to Confession to a Priest BUT you must tell him that you are a Protestant and you will not be able to receive Absolution; which is the most important part of Confession.

Your best bet is to become Catholic and make your "First Confession" as the official one so that you can receive absolution at your "first confession." That would be so much better than if you go now and don't receive absolution.

Talk to a priest in the nearest Parish. :)

  • @MilitaryMan68564, a little FYI about Parishes. Some Parishes are not that great at following the GIRM for Mass. I call them "Liberal Parishes" and I stay away from them.

I live 70 miles outside of Chicago and I do not attend a Parish near my house because many of them are liberal Parishes. I attend Mass at a very good Parish in Chicago. They do a Latin Mass which I love very much. I do not consider myself a "Traditionalist" however. I am a Roman Catholic. Sedevacantism is false.

  • i try to say rosary almost daily now. sometimes more then once a day. will our lady use them in purgatory too.

  • @ peteboy, absolutely she could if she wants. :) I think it would be a great idea to say the St. Gertrude prayer after your Rosary. :) God bless you.

  • No such word "BORED" Suffering here on earth can lifted-up Souls in Purgatory, if we offer it heartily.AMEN

  • Thank you! We should never forget to pray for the dear souls in purgatory!!! They cannot help themselves, but if we pray to them - they can help us!!!

    Thanks again!!!

  • Thank you ... this was lovely! We should never forget to pray for the dear souls in purgatory!!! They cannot help themselves, but indeed if we pray to them ... they can help us!

    Thanks again!

  • This is lovely, but, there are so many dfferent devotions. So many people to pray for, and in so many ways. How can one do it all?

I pray for Michael too, the poor, misguided soul. God will have mercy on him b/c inside he was really just a very sweet child longing to be loved.

  • I was close to tears listening to this.

    Amen forever!

  • AMEN!

  • Thanls for posting this! I think this is a very beautiful prayer-song. We should all pray this to liberate souls in purgatory. They will be our intercessors as well when we die and even as we journey through this temporary life on earth! Amen! God bless!

  • God is good

  • Amen!

    God is Awesome!

  • Thank you so much for your kind, and loving words "Amen" says it all. You turly do understand. May he rest. For there is only one King, and now he stands before Him amongst those who suffer in the Church...

  • Even though I wasn't a fan. I include Micheal Jackson in this prayer. Let him rest...

  • "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy." Even if it was a a small prayer, you won't lose your reward for this.

  • Let us at this time including Micheal Jackson in our prayers, and forget what unbelievers say. Not that I was a fan. But we must all in our prayers.

  • AMEN!

  • this is really amazing not only do you have to go to a priest for forgivness but you also have to do good works to make up for the sin committed as well.. seems like double jeperdy... or of course spend more time in that fable place call purgatory....

oh well who much time is severed? who knows exaclty ..

  • We Confess our sins TO JESUS through His ministerial Priest. It is actually Jesus in the Confessional. The Priest is just standing "In Persona Christi" ... "In the Person of Christ."

"...And to whom you have pardoned any thing, I also. For, what I have pardoned, if I have pardoned any thing, for your sakes have I done it in the person of Christ." 2 Cor 2:10 DR-V

Please also read John 20:19-23. Jesus gives His power to forgive sins to the Apostles who are the 1st Bishops.

  • Tim, the Church does not teach that Purgatory is a place necessarily. But Purgatory is God's mercy so that our souls can be cleansed. Nothing unclean can enter into Heaven.

Purgatory is a reality. If you do not like it and do not believe in it, that doesn't mean it won't exist for you. I pray you don't make it to hell. If you don't make it directly to heaven, I pray you at least make it to purgatory, that way you will end up in Heaven eventually.

  • no need to go to a priest or make up for anything! You can confess to jesus christ where ever u are through prayer and he will forgive you.

  • Are you sure you would get absolution from Jesus?! Jesus gave the power to forgive or retain people in their sins to His MINISTERIAL PRIESTS. How are these priests supposed to know what to forgive or what to retain if no one tells them their sins.

You really need to learn what the Church teaches by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Please read St. John's Gospel, chapter 20 verses 19 to 23.

  • wonderfu! BLESS U!!!

  • wow really good i watched this three times in a row and really liked singing it thanks

  • beautiful....

  • Beautiful, solidly Catholic, a prayer as relevant today as it was for St. Gertrude's time. I would like to see more of Paul Lisney's music set to Catholic thematic videos.

  • I have a few other videos with Paul's music. Paul has so many songs that there's no way I could do all of them. But I will try to get more on video. I have all the CDs he has & then some extra songs that are not on any of his CDs.

  • Thank you. How can I obtain these CDs?

  • You can get his CDs from the Cukierski website. I placed a comment on your channel because it won't allow me to post urls here.

  • I just noticed that the comment that I placed with the URL is no longer on your page. I guess YouTube does not like us to place web addresses on this website. How selfish of them! :\

So I sent you a private message with the URL. I've sent messages with URLs in them before so it will work. So check your inbox for the web address where you can get those CDs.

    God Bless you, Karen

  • Thank you so much Karen. The Holy Spirit motivates me. All Glory to God! :)

  • This clip is so professionally done. We should always pray for souls of purgatory,so when we die others will pray for us.

  • It's amazing that people don't believe in purgatory. Why else would the dead need prayers? Yet many visionaries (St. Faustina, the Medjugorje visionaries, etc.) have actually seen Purgatory. They've seen the suffering. Part of the reason why they are still in Purgatory is that people do not believe in it, therefore they don't get prayers, and are stuck. The Church Suffering is stuck because they can do nothing, which is why they need our prayers.

  • The existence of purgatory is universally taught by all the Fathers of the Church. The words of Our Lord, "You shall not come out from it until you have paid the last penny" are very clear (Matt. 5:25-26). Later, when speaking of the sins against the Holy Spirit, Jesus says that such a sin "will not be forgiven either in this world or in the next," thus implying that there are some sins that can be atoned for in the next world (Matt. 12:32).

  • Paul also shows his belief in purgatory when, in his second letter to Timothy, he prays for the deceased Onesiphorus. "May the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that day" (2 Tim. 1:18).

  • Even in the Old Testament there was a belief in the existence of purgatory, for there we find Judas Maccabeus sending 12,000 drachmas to Jerusalem to have sacrifices offered for the sins of the dead. That chapter ends with the advice. "It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins" (2 Mac. 12:46).

  • And Jewish people pray for the dead all the time in their Kaddish. They even burn candles in memory of their departed, so they must believe in a Purgatory of some type.

  • Judaism is a religion started by God (Old Testament) and Catholicism is the religion fulfilled by Jesus Christ from Judaism (New Testament). That is why we do what we do. :) In the Old Testament, Maccabees, they prayed for the dead. We still continue that to this day.

  • Exactly. :)

  • Sandy this is lovely, thank you...

  • Beautiful Sandy! thankyou..

  • Thanks everyone for your comments. I hope everyone is reading the "more info" section on the right side of the video. :) Please take advantage of the links that I have posted there. You can also have a picture of the image of Jesus at the end of the video. Print it out and hang it up on your bedrooom wall so that when you go to bed & wake up His face can be the last & first thing you see. :)

Thanks to all and God bless.

    Peace & Love in Christ.
