for the national Polish heritage society. Now I can't even play simple pieces because of the damage. But even though I'm upset at the outcome, I realize that I'm very lucky to be alive (let alone still have my arm) It really amazes me that serious bacterial infections don't get the awareness they need. Resistant infections are at pandemic levels in the US, and they're only going to get worse as more bacteria develops immunity to antibiotics.
@ByeHawks wow thats really sad but its good to hear you are staying so positive. i agree people dont understand how dangerous antibiotic resistance is. they continue to take antibiotics without finishing them and even things as simple as hand sanitizer usage can cause resistance. there really should be an information campaign on these issues because it will only become more prevalent if we dont. stay strong, pal
and the bacteria ate away at both my ulnar and median nerves. I've lost most of the sensation in my arm below the elbow. The muscles have atrophied in my hand and I can't straighten my fingers or move them much. I was left-handed, so I've had to learn to write with my right hand, and my surgeon said I will likely never play baseball again. The worst part is piano. I was very advanced and have competed in-and won- numerous competitions and have been asked to play in the Chopin concert (cont)
I got a small cut on my arm while I was cleaning my batting gloves last spring and developed a MRSA infection that invaded my humerus bone and elbow joint. By the time I ended up at the emergency room to have it examined, my temp was 106F and my arm was so swollen I couldn't bend it. I had a Hickman line inserted into my chest and spent two months in the hospital getting vancomycin and linezolid. Since March I've had 7 surgeries on my arm. My humerus has been replaced with a cadaver bone (cont)
Has any one of those doctors tried high doses of PROBIOTICS yet? Usually M.D.s won't do that .Probiotics actually kill bad bacteria also and I recently learned of high doses of PROBIOTICS killing infections that antibiotics wouldn't . CHECK VALARIE SAXION. And it worked for the person that was looking at the show with me.
Call the Shriners Hospitals for Children. The family WILL NEVER be required to pay and if they don't have doctors to treat it, they will get ones that can.
