We just met Dan Lurie at our luncheon group, on 8/12/10. He's 87 now and the author of the book HEART OF STEEL, about his life. Married 63 years and a very nice guy.
This was a Saturday afternoon tradition [12-1pm(et)] on CBS between 1951 and 1958, originating from Philadelphia, featuring New York radio disc jockey Jack Sterling as "Ringmaster" (and Ed McMahon as lead clown- also appearing in the opening title- during the first two seasons), and sponsored in its early years by Kraft's National Dairy Products' "Sealtest" division.
I think Sealtest Dan the Muscle Man trimmed his pits a little...
