I know this video's old but that's some groovy shit you picked up! Well, if there's any better duo mahcines out there, I might pick one up. I'm actually hanging to get some (S)NES games one day.
my friend's Retro Duo doesn't have any sound problems
there are 2 versions of the Retro Duo
the first version is white and purple and Black and Red this version is 99.9% with every game, only game that had a problem running on this version was a few copies of Super Mario RPG
version 2 will be able to play all copies of Super Mario RPG
Awesome stuff Rob. I love Max Payne. Never heard of No One Lives Forever. Maybe someday I'll get it for my PC. I actually got Mirror's Edge today for my PS3. You might like it Rob. It's like Prince of Persia except it in first person view and it has a different setting.
Hey Rob, the NES side of the Retro Duo will have issues with some games, not as bad as the SNES, but not bad at all for its price, I just got a real SNES just before June 1st, and I got my Retro Duo way back in December! Its great for price, but it isn't 100% perfect unfortuntely
Yeah, the sad thing is, my SNES has seen better days. One of the many times I moved over the last 6 years I just threw my SNES in a box with a cart in it. BAD idea. Now it sometimes takes multiple tries of unplugging and plugging back in a cart to get the game working. :|
Thankfully, the SNES is a remarkably durable machine (at least the PAL/JP models, haven't quite got my hands on a US model... yet).
I remember a few years back when my SNES fell off the shelf it was (stupidly) balanced on, tumbling a horrible 7ft onto the hard floor. Somehow, it still works just fine, despite numerous other similar instances.
Unlike my first PS2, which literally *exploded* after falling only 10" after someone tripped over the controller cable, pulling it out from the cabinet.
Hahaha i want that Bowser Plushie! I'll have to check around for one. x3 Great games you bought there Rob, i myself bought Oblivion and Bioshock yesterday for 29,99$ each. :D it worthed it so far.
The GoTY edition is the one i exactly bought. That was quite a bargain seeing it contain the 2 expensions, which is probably the reason you sold Oblivion to get the GoTY one. o=
max payne on the ps2 was good but has the offspring aiming i kinda dislike. Max Payne 3 is in development right now by Rockstars and is coming out this year. I heard the Duo has audio issue and some people noted that the audio cable that came with the system should not be used.
What do you mean? I'm pretty sure it can be finished.
f you mean if I can finish the run I was doing, since I finished the 3DO version (which is better in almost every way) I didn't see the point of playing through the whole game again. Especially with the reckless turning when holding down run on the Jaguar (it makes the controls very annoying).
Yeah I used to have a gameshark for the N64 and since it didn't work on my N64, I offered to sell it to my friend. Then he said that he paid me but he didn't.
Ah, the PS2 version of XIII. Some levels are annoying trial-and-error stealth (like splinter cell) but for the most part it's a great singleplayer FPS. Pretty decent story and there's a lot of cool weapons, ranging from throwing knives to crossbows.

Bioshock and Oblivion are both amazing. I sold Oblivion because I planned on getting the GOTY edition, but haven't rebought it yet.

You can buy them all over the place online that sells imports (lots on Ebay too). I bought mine locally at a game store called Replay Games.

$70 for Bionic Commando? EXPENSIVE!!!
TravelJoe2010 2 years ago
That would be Canadian dollars. So, yeah, everything's more expensive, but wages are higher.
elbryan42 2 years ago
Thats $70 Canadian, that is approx $60 US to us, so its equal!
