    Hello Dick I have just seen this comment and as WB say you are right. This was something slightly different but it is something that needs to be emphasised because I see a lot of ufh systems that have no sleeving on any of the pipes. Companies aren't supplying it as part of the kit and the plumbers don't ask for it. Any flexible conduit will do the job. I can see a lot of trouble coming in the future.

  • Roger at 11.23 you talk about screed cracking, but you never sleeved the pipes going through the wall to the manifold, any pipe that leaves a screed must be sleeved or the movement of the screed will split the pipe. As with screed expansion joints; you must sleeve the pipe.

  • Hello, thanks for your queries. You are of course quite right about sleeving the pipes and at 6:55 the video briefly shows the sleeved pipes coming through the wall. The installation was an exception to usual UFH installations because of the pipes being run through the wall to the manifold (as opposed to upwards out of the screed), this was due to different floor levels in the adjacent rooms.
