This game sucks SO MUCH! This is made by Nintendo I believe (with the permission from SEGA, obviously) and yet Nintendo gets Sonic in super smash bros to be the fastest in the game, and Mario and all else in speed for that matter... pretty crap. But in THIS game, Sonic is as slow as everyone else. 1 point is that pretty much ALL Sonic characters in general are made to be a bunch of fast running woodland animals.

In my oppinion everything old was better, not saying the games now are bad but even mario games were harder and kinda more worth while of playing. So far the only hard Mario game i've played this year is bowsers inside story. Sonic was way better when he was 2-d, but atleast unleashed try to make a combination.

They keep trying to make the games better when they're flopping badly. Mario in a kart is relative, he can't run that fast so yeah why not put him in a seperate game. Apart from that, Super Mario Galaxy brings back good memories, which is why Mario is in the lead...

@Kidrazor96 exactly, he's in the lead because sega always tries to copy mario's gimmicks, and apply them to sonic. either they don't work well for the hedgehog, or sega tries to make it "different", and ends up screwing it up. and, all of sonic's console adventure games since sonic heroes have sucked, due to some gimmicks that ruin the gameplay (such as poor motion controls or becoming a slow werehog), or just poor execution (like secret rings and sonic '06 for PS3/360)

Super Mario Galaxy and M&L: Bowser's Inside Story were great! all sonic games since Sonic Heroes just sucked; sega always finds ways to ruin them, from werehogs to wiimote waggles. although ign's review of sonic unleashed was a bit biased, i agree when the reviewer guessed that somebody was sabotaging sonic by releasing crap.
