Metafilter is not a public site. It is, in fact, a private site the owner decide to share with the staff and users, given the users decide to abide by a set of commonly agreed upon rules.

So, as it is a private site, you have no right to have your post shown if you do not abide by said rules. By the way, I have been a user since 2001, and have not had so much as a caution from the owner or staff.

I have no comment regarding the artistic value of your project, but your post was deleted from MetaFilter because it was a self-link: You created a front page post about your own project. On MetaFilter, this results in an automatic deletion of the post and banning of the user. Nobody is permitted to do this, under any circumstances, and many accounts have been deleted for this reason. It is regrettable that you failed to read, comprehend or agree to the site rules, but there was no censorship.
