SO FRIGGIN TRUE THE OPENING RIFF IS JUST ABSOLUTLEY FUCKIN COOL AS SHIT AND ONE I LIKE TO REWIND JUST TO HEAR IT GO BAM BANNAM BANAANAM ..I WAS 20 WHEN THIS CAME OUT GOT TO BE IN THE LEVETATE VIDEO WHEN THEY SHOT IT AT THE OPERA HOUSE IN TORONTO AND TO BE STRAIGHT TO THIS DAY HAVENT HEARD BANDS LIKE THIS THE KID IS RIGHT TODAYS MUSIC IS JUST GARBAGE JUSTINE BIEBER IS WHAT THE POOR KIDS HAVE TO LISTEN ONE THING THAT ACTUALY MAKES ME GLAD TO BE OLDER LOL
why is music today so shit? im 20 but don't feel like i belong in this era. ive been listening to 90's rock/nu-metal since i was in grade 3 haha. i mother earth is amazing and im re-discovering this!
Dig was a sweet album. Nah... Dig IS a sweet album. Its not often enough that people play slap electric guitar. The melodies and rhythm are unique and have a tendancy to pump me up. Thanks for that one brief walk in the sunlight, IME.
I ME .... even today there music sounds worlds above anything . bad ass rifs , beltching vocals . funky bass . ... what else u need ? pull up a chair and roll a fattie...
Muchmusic is now a defunct version of crap. From about to its inception to about 2003, Muchmusic played MUSIC. Nowadays they have the OC, High School Musical and those idiot brothers 24/7. Back during the heydays of the 80's and 90's, that station played certain types of music in rotation hours and videoflow...now Muchmusic is dead. Shame on the station for selling out to those talentless misfits.
The 90s had some good stuff, and some terrible stuff. Seriously, have you ever read any comics drawn during the 90s?! The art style is TERRIBLE, and hairstyles and clothing look ridiculous!
yea thats true lol the music was good, and the world was still in good shape, unlike today. and todays music is horrible, i cant believe kids today and all that nig nog shit floatin around
Some modern music is good; most of it sucks. However, most of the 90s music sucked too. 90% of EVERYTHING is garbage; the difference is with older things, people tend to disregard the bad stuff. Thus, most old music you find on the radio is the stuff that was good; and ten years from now, only the good music from now will be on the radio.
todays music ( 90% of it sucks ass) i love the old IME, 90s had some good bands, but today everything is nigger rap shit, or brittney pop wanna be crap,i so cant wait till hip hop& rap dies, and hopefuly all those dumb ass niggers die with them, fucking hate rap
ya this takes me back. I was just starting high school when this Album came out and I Still have it. Takes me back to A time when things were much more black and white, and not as gray.
I'm in my mid-forties, married with 4 kids and a grandson even...
When I hear the opening notes of this song all that disappears--and I'm 19 again. And then I realize that I will always be 19. This song literally makes me jump up and bounce around the room.
@davekat How can you be in your mid 40s now and have been 19 when the song was released. It's only 17 years old. You'd have to have been minimum 28 years old when this song was released to be in your mid 40s now.
I suspect part of Much Music's considerable decline has been the departure of Moses Znaimer. While he was at the helm Much's content at least had a reasonable balance of both musical taste and intellectualism. Since his retirement the whole thing seems to have collapsed into a messy splat of worthless pop culture however.
MTV just never even seemed to notice IME at all! I did some work for the band when they were releasing "Blue Green Orange" (2 albums after this, when Brian joined the band) and even then, nobody in the U.S. knew who they were. Real shame.
its funny cuz if u go to the states NOW and play old i mother earth to old grunge and progressive rock fans they will go nuts over this and youd be like buddy this was 15 years ago lol
The "States" saw this band on MTV when the cd Dig came out... Goes to show you how much we "DO" know. Most people would consider this type of music "mainstream", unfortunately...
I loved this band and I heard it here in Colorado on KBPI back in the 90's. They played this and "Rain Will Fall" a lot back in the day. Too bad they didn't get more attention.
My Aussie ears fell in love with this song many years ago when a certain Canadian introduced me to I Mother Earth.. and Our Lady Peace. Oz missed out on some good music back in the day!
Someone posted the lyrics to this on facebook, so I googled them.
Dad-rock shit.
Come on guys.
