  • This brings me back to my childhood!

  • great rythm for a mogul banger. I banged a few to this one.

  • Most underrated rock band from the '90s.

  • Id have to agree with you there davekat.I spent many anight in the shady underworld of society rocking to this music.Booze can anyone?LOL!

  • why is music today so shit? im 20 but don't feel like i belong in this era. ive been listening to 90's rock/nu-metal since i was in grade 3 haha. i mother earth is amazing and im re-discovering this!

  • semi-moronic not quite sonic!!!

thanks stelladaniella this takes me back!!!

  • DIg is a Canadian unwritten masterpiece. Too bad Edwin left. Afterwards it was never the same.

  • Awesome song. IME is utterly absent from iTunes. :(

  • awsooooome song

  • Dig was a sweet album. Nah... Dig IS a sweet album. Its not often enough that people play slap electric guitar. The melodies and rhythm are unique and have a tendancy to pump me up. Thanks for that one brief walk in the sunlight, IME.

  • I ME .... even today there music sounds worlds above anything . bad ass rifs , beltching vocals . funky bass . ... what else u need ? pull up a chair and roll a fattie...

  • love it! pull the choke on a white walled bong...enjoy life!

  • wow remember spotlight?

  • how old is Edwin? I never new they had a band back in 93.

  • I remember buying this cassette back in the day. I used to wait all day for much music to play this video.

  • this was a very underated band and I agree the cd dig Is a Must buy awesome to Find this band on here

  • Dig by these guys is amazing! a must buy

  • *snerk* Now I'm imaging a Doctor Who music video to this song, entitled 'Not Quite Sonic Screwdriver'.

  • love this song

  • Muchmusic is now a defunct version of crap. From about to its inception to about 2003, Muchmusic played MUSIC. Nowadays they have the OC, High School Musical and those idiot brothers 24/7. Back during the heydays of the 80's and 90's, that station played certain types of music in rotation hours and videoflow...now Muchmusic is dead. Shame on the station for selling out to those talentless misfits.

  • I wish I could have gone through highschool 10 years ago...unfortunately I went through it as the rap and pop phase had taken over the youth.

  • hahahah woooorddd

  • I graduated in '95, caught it all!

  • A MuchMusic spotlight on these guys, back when MuchMusic resembled a music station.

    Thanks for posting this.

    Cheers

  • for some reason this song reminds me of the game sonic the hedgehog =S. its not the title...its just the lyrics of the song reminds me of it.

  • poeple in there 30's must enjoy this as much as me!

  • Yes we 30's people do!

  • im only 18 and i love it. long live the 90's

  • im 13 and i ttly agree with u!

  • The 90s had some good stuff, and some terrible stuff. Seriously, have you ever read any comics drawn during the 90s?! The art style is TERRIBLE, and hairstyles and clothing look ridiculous!

  • yea thats true lol the music was good, and the world was still in good shape, unlike today. and todays music is horrible, i cant believe kids today and all that nig nog shit floatin around

  • Some modern music is good; most of it sucks. However, most of the 90s music sucked too. 90% of EVERYTHING is garbage; the difference is with older things, people tend to disregard the bad stuff. Thus, most old music you find on the radio is the stuff that was good; and ten years from now, only the good music from now will be on the radio.

  • oh yeah,...

  • I remember this from the headbangers ball when i was in high school, back when mtv actually played rock videos

  • you hate yourself

  • Davekat I totally hear ya mahn. But what bothers me about this video is they edited Jag's lead! It's longer on the album.

  • dude they always edit out his leads and the percussion, aka the best parts

  • One of my faves from the nineties!Take it away I mother earth!I wont forget.:P

  • I agree..I still have this CD..and everytime i listen to it I'm back in my 20's..they were such a great band.

  • ya this takes me back. I was just starting high school when this Album came out and I Still have it. Takes me back to A time when things were much more black and white, and not as gray.

  • How good is this song? Well...

I'm in my mid-forties, married with 4 kids and a grandson even...

When I hear the opening notes of this song all that disappears--and I'm 19 again. And then I realize that I will always be 19. This song literally makes me jump up and bounce around the room.

    Always.

  • @davekat How can you be in your mid 40s now and have been 19 when the song was released. It's only 17 years old. You'd have to have been minimum 28 years old when this song was released to be in your mid 40s now.

  • @Alientank

19 is a state of mind

    i'm 19 with 26 years of experience

  • @davekat Now I get ya. Wasn't trying to diss you!

  • Great band, really great seeing them live in the 90s. Hot song

  • Oh....my.....God

This song is my favorite song from Dig. Got I hate MTV for not showing this vid back in the day. You Canadians have it so good.

  • We had it good, but Much Music has gone all to shit unfortunately. Hardly any music played anymore. Too bad. It was so good back then.

  • I suspect part of Much Music's considerable decline has been the departure of Moses Znaimer. While he was at the helm Much's content at least had a reasonable balance of both musical taste and intellectualism. Since his retirement the whole thing seems to have collapsed into a messy splat of worthless pop culture however.

  • Greetings,

Did MTV ban it or something? Power Hour and Power 30 were awesome on Muchmusic back in the day. :)

    Sincerely, Eagle Scream

  • MTV just never even seemed to notice IME at all! I did some work for the band when they were releasing "Blue Green Orange" (2 albums after this, when Brian joined the band) and even then, nobody in the U.S. knew who they were. Real shame.

  • its funny cuz if u go to the states NOW and play old i mother earth to old grunge and progressive rock fans they will go nuts over this and youd be like buddy this was 15 years ago lol

  • i'm drunk again

  • Nah, they only played "Rain Will Fall" over and over. For some reason it was the ONLY video they ever played from IME. Sad, really sad.

  • atleast it was a heavy song.

  • i enjoy a healthy balance of music (apart from pop which ive cut out of my musical diet ) lol

  • What's that? A dog?

  • I'm drunk

  • I remember this from Head Bangers Ball.

  • The "States" saw this band on MTV when the cd Dig came out... Goes to show you how much we "DO" know. Most people would consider this type of music "mainstream", unfortunately...

  • did they change singers after this? the other guy has short hair and chubby.

  • haha go see "summertime in the void". Hardly chubby but just as good a singer IMO.

  • American ears heard it and loved it! American record companies are dumbasses tho...

  • I loved this band and I heard it here in Colorado on KBPI back in the 90's. They played this and "Rain Will Fall" a lot back in the day. Too bad they didn't get more attention.

  • lol i think they're getting more attention now then they did then.

  • My Aussie ears fell in love with this song many years ago when a certain Canadian introduced me to I Mother Earth.. and Our Lady Peace. Oz missed out on some good music back in the day!

  • One of the best songs U.S. radio never heard!

  • you did if you were in Buffalo! I love getting all the Canadian stations with their immensely superior music

  • I'm from around Toronto so I get the Buffalo and the Toronto EDGE station. The Buffalo one is about 10 thousand times better

  • Buffalo's EDGE sucks. I think your 102.1 is way better

  • huh? don't be a retard. there's plenty of other countries making music you never even heard

  • One of the coolest songs of the 90's. Thanks for uploading the vid.

  • No problem!
