Send this video back to 1994.THAT's when the takeover took place. And 1968, when Nixon hired people who would do WHATEVER IT TAKES to attain office, especially the Southern Strategy, which was deliberately done to attract racists.
If there were more republicans like this the country would be in better shape, he seems like he knows what's going on. It's been awhile since I've seen an intelligent Republican politician that's not pure evil like Newt or Rove. It's a refreshing feeling :-)
Judd Gregg is full of crap. He hasn't worked a day in his life and he preaches about unemployment "benefits" being handouts. He was lucky to have a powerful father.
One forgets that Republicans still exist. It is terrible that Republicans like this are being voted out. We need a balance of power in both the House and the Senate. And we need reasonable, well educated people on both sides, not insane, ignorant, fear-mongerers who get ther talking points from Limbaugh and Fox News.
When you try to sell yourself as an anti-intellectual, you are are indeed trying to sell yourself as an idiot. And you usually get exactly what you pay for...
The GOP is already taken over by authoritarian right-wing extremists. There is no such thing as a "moderate" or "sane" Republican with the exception of Ron Paul. I consider myself a conservative libertarian, but the GOP is not conservative... They are just right-wing neo-cons. It's quite funny. Even so called *moderate* Republicans like John McCain make the BNP look like civil rights activists.
If the far right completely takes over the GOP, the moderate, sane & intelligent conservatives will become independents or join the Democrat party (an example of the latter is Cenk Uygur). This has already happened. Real conservatives have been criticizing the far right for decades: Henry Fairlie, Barry Goldwater, John W. Dean, Philip Gold, Frank Schaeffer, etc. Sadly, some of these critics have simply further inspired the far right to become even more extreme (such as Barry Goldwater).
whats really sad is that, as the farther right they go, the more they alienate the independents who make up like 40% of any voting body. So while the right will win some seats n ow in 5 or 10 years they are going to be so far out there they will likely lose 60% of the seats and offices they will gain now.

Bob Inglis comes across as reasonable and rational. Too bad more people in Congress don't behave this way.
