  • they are an awesome kite indeed. You probably only need a touch of brake to stop it overflying and luffing occasionally. I think it steers well off the front lines - not much brake input needed there. But if you let the lines go slack in a turn - voila, instant shopping bag!! I should add that I'm not a very good flier of kites like this so don't take my words as gospel!! You should have a blast!

  • just ordered a 3.5 cent 2 after watching your vid john, then managed to get a try at local beach, great little kite, not a lot of wind on the day but it had some power in it when zipping about the sky, will be good once i suss out how to use more brake input when flying kites. mk4 blade 4.9 dousnt need much brakes :)

  • another fantastic vid, u gotta post more! there a pleasure to watch!!!

  • Awsome that pic quality is second to none. What cam area you using/

  • It's a GoPro HD. Fabulous little camera!

  • Nice vid!!

    what was the windspeed?

  • Wind was a bit light for the 2.8m say, 13 mph or so (20km/hr). Perhaps a little more at times. It picked up as the morning went on. I put the 2.8m down and put the Apex II 7.5m up which was nicely powered. (that video is on my 'Vimeo' site (John Holgate) with quite a few others.
