I think it's a fair premise - if you are denied an insurance payout because of an "act of God", then you should sue God for criminal damage. As self-professed representatives of God on Earth, the Catholic church is an excellent place to claim damages from.

This movie was good for its time, considering it came out out 8 years ago, and something that would be expected of Billy connolly, lighthearted and funny.
