Anyone who liked that top comment suggesting a splice of SH and RE clearly doesn't understand the first thing about creative writing, the themes, tone, and even the genre's are completely different. I would die before I saw the two mixed. Yeah, sure, SH1 and such installments (that don't have extreme depth to their writing) may mix with RE, but since SH2, the overall concept of SH has become too philosophical, and the sub-genre is too different to RE for them to readily have cohesion.

Ugh, Pyramid head was never an angel of death. He was originally meant as James's suppressed feelings, including his sexual frustration toward his wife (hence the rape). But now Pyramid head is everywhere, he's lost his meaningfulness. The only reason the creators gave for his face being hidden is because they wanted to make a faceless monster. He was never meant to punish anyone, but to help James accept the truth. I agree when people say he's the new mickey mouse for Silent Hill anymore.
