  • is it easy getting used to the possition of the fret markers?

  • @hgfhgfhtht Yes very easy, if you've played a guitar before then it'll be a piece of cake for you

  • I hate the uselessness of a wammy bar this is why i take them off because all they are made for is so you spend more money on strings......

  • Comment removed

  • THATS THE DOOM THEME TUNE :) kind of

  • I usually use this guitar for practicing riffs before recording them or learning stuff on them. Also, I changed the strings, replaced the pick-ups and got rid of the awful Gear4Music logo on the top. Now it sounds and looks like a BC rich.

  • Kl man keep at it, especially the intro to walk man, ull get there. Yeah chuck that amp in a skip man, its shit! stick to ur peavey and keep the tunes rockin hard man!!! Oh n floyds are hard to get used to, especially getting the tuition right for tuning but youll get there

  • Aaaaaarrrgh!!! it hurts my braiiin!!!! may be ok with new srtings and/or pickups though.

  • nice one mate keep at it... vid was good only negativem feed back was tht the guitar was out of tune but we all have them days :)

  • keep practicing mate you dont need an expensive instrument to sound good.

  • keep practicing mate you dont need an expensive instrument to sound good.

  • up for the guitar .. down for the guitarist

  • @CrowRS17 Thanks.. I do try my best to get better. So thanks for your 'positive' encouragement.

  • @TheHusky9 i will wait for other video .. and then i gonna appreciate you , if you do well I'll apologize

  • @TheHusky9 Fuck the haters man, we all gotta start somewhere.

  • @CrowRS17 dude...hes a fucking beginner.

  • Gear4music guitars are awful. I used to have one

  • @Mr4187 Okay thanks for telling me, but in all honesty I can't go back in time and put it back in tune. That was my first guitar and I was very new to it.

  • @Mr4187 I never claimed I was a pro, at the time of filming this.

  • just got one, my 1st guitar with a floyd rose on what a stupid idea having to cut the eye off the string, had it 24 hours gone through 8 set of strings hate it purely based on the floyd rose if it was a fixed bridge it would be ace

  • @fatpatuk Its not a floyd rose, this is gear 4 music, they are cheap imitation guitars that suck in every way shape and form. real floyd roses are awesome :D

  • Uhm.. Is anyone else having MAJOR trouble getting this guitar into Drop D? :S

  • @Chandler984 don't bother. with a bridge like this itll be a nightmare anyway

  • Tell me about the weight of this guitar ?? 4 or 5 kg?

  • I hope this guitar is good... I have just ordered it for Christmas...

  • is the guitar in tune there dude??? just askin cos some parts it sounds a bit off ?

  • do u recomend it or not then. just wonderin cos i want to get it but im not sure

  • @SuperRyanReynoldsx if you know how to fiddle around with guitars and can adjust bridges and action heights without a problem (and you don't mind about the slightly crappy sound) then yes you can MAKE this into a good guitar.

If you are gonna buy it and just use it then NO, get a different guitar.

  • that sounds loose, and all over the place...it sounds like shit. Im sure its not the guy...its just that guitar is a piece of shit. whe he bends ,,,ouch it just sounds like a howling dog ''wiiiuuuuuuuuuuuuuu'' like the strings were made out a supermarket plastic bag and the amp sounds like a shoe box wit a speaker in it.

  • this is hilarious

  • and by the way i bought the g4m metL V and its the same hardware. good sounding guitar when plugged into a decent amp

  • whats the 3rd song you play?

  • I'm thinking of getting this guitar to begin with it...what strings do you think would be good to change the stock ones

  • @zoinkdsf ernie balls. I get the super slinkys

  • This isn't half as bad as everyone makes out

  • Hey does gear4music have really great products ?? I'm going to get electric guitar !

  • i'm considering buying this guitar , and the price seems great on the site ,, would you recomend this guitar ?? do you think it plays well ?? and what would you rate this guitar out of 10 ?? i was set on buying it , until i watched a review by pricereviewco and now im not so sure :( ,, help ?? :)

  • on the website it said 1 tone and 2 vol and a pick up slecter but how is that possible

    it has 2 'nobs'

  • @slipknotmetalica2398 the one on the website is probably the newer one then

  • does it have two volume or 1 vol and 1 tone

  • @teddybigfoot123 1 vol 1 tone 1 three way pickup switch

  • I want to know how to change pickup sound

  • @hirbodpirnia You can find a sound that suits you by fiddling with the tone knob and the pickup switch.

  • whats the floyd rose tuning stability like?

  • @teddybigfoot123 horrible with the original strings on, but with a better set of strings it holds up very well. I can go up to weeks without having to change strings.

Whammy abuse will make it go out of tune as any other guitar

  • i got one of these on 26/7/10 and its prefect but if u buy one when you touch the pick on the string oneof them will snap!! i saw it first time on metal xguitar review and he said the same thing ! but over all i give it 9 out of 10

  • @hirbodpirnia lol i never play using stock strings on a new guitar. The ones that came with the metal X sucked anyway, I use ernie balls

  • hey there man im thinking buying this guitar what would U give it out of 10 im a begginer so would u recommend 4 a begginer

  • @secretsaj007 for an absolute beginner I wouldn't recommend it because of the complicated floating bridge. But if you have dealt with them before then ill give this guitar a 6/10 for a beginner. Less than 1/10 for everyone above beginner level

  • 1. how good can this do pinch harmonics?

    2. does it keep in tune?

    3. Metallica rock!!

  • @pivotgodxd 1. With a good amp, good strings and good technique it can do pinches very well. They do not sustain for long though.

    2. With new strings and a PROPERLY set up bridge I can go about 1-2 months without tuning it. And it does stay in tune for bloody ages!

    3. XD

  • watch your timing mate the actual playing is ok but you speed some parts up i think

  • @sfedf1 Thanks but this isn't intended as a performance, its just to convey the sound of the guitar. So the playing is very casual

  • can anyone tell me how to get the strings out if the snap, i've undone it from the neck but i dunno how to detach it from the bit by the whammy bar.

  • @XTommy666X type this in to the youtube search bar:

'how to change strings on a floyd rose'

The first video details it perfectly

  • @TheHusky9 thanks

  • do your belt up.

  • @zigmondfroid1067 Its not my belt, its the guitar strap.

  • I'm getting this guitar as my first guitar I have tested it out and it's great for begginers just change the strings for a better outcome

  • DONT GET THAT GUITAR!

I Learnt The Hard Way, This Guitar Should Be Illegal It Sucks!

I'm Not Being Nasty, I Just Want To Warn Anyone That's About To Buy That Piece Of Crap They Call A Guitar.

  • why not

  • @TAMIKARACE because its impossible to tune because it has a very low quality floyd rose and puts it out of tune straight away

the whammy bar squeeks and the pick-ups suck

id recommend buying an ibanez which costs a little bit more but atleast you can play it.

  • Yeah I'd do what the guy below me said. But I adjusted the springs inside my Metal X and replaced the strings with ernie balls. The guitar hasn't gone out of tune too noticeably, but it doesn't change the fact this is a bad guitar.

  • For a starter guitar I recommend it.

  • I really wouldn't, they're very unreliable their les paul model is alot better, they cant' do metal guitars very well and through a 15 watt amp you'll be very disappointed :) hope that helps

  • @CastellanMusic I have one, I'm not disapointed at all, the only thing I'm disapointed with is the amp, consider this as a starter guitar it's only £100 you get what you pay for. There is no point buying a £500+ guitar if you're just starting out.

  • email back about my last comment, if u have a metal X, including the guy who put this video on utoob

  • is a metal X actually worth buying if its your first electric guitar?

    i wanne know!

  • Hey kool vid i mite get this guitar but wiv a bosss mt-2

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • yh ive orderd a diffrent one now

i orderd a jaxville snake les paul

    its realy nice

    look it up

    cya

p.s not llowed it till xmas

    orderd it yesterdy by

  • Im Ordering a sunburst red orange les paul from gear4music

ill probably make a vid of it

    cya

  • i got one terrible sound and the strap wont stay on it always slides off

  • Whats the name of the song m8 ?

  • this was my first guitar... had good times with it

Got an epiphone now though haha, so much better

  • It's Master Of Puppets - Metallica

    Nicely played ;)

  • song?

  • tutorial how to play what you played?

  • its metalica i belive

  • hey man.. if this is ur first guitar KEEP IT!!! dont be stupid like me and give it to a girl EVERRR lol.. you remind me of when i started playing.. u'll def. get better if u practice

  • i regret buying this so much im a 100% noob when it comes to guitars but mine just seems not to stay in tune =/ kinda annoying

  • dont sell it!!! all guitars do that at first and get better with use...if you grab the strings about mid way down you and pull them away from the fret board a few times (not too hard) this will help them retain the tuning...

  • hmmmmm i heard that

im keeping it anyway =P hopefully in the future i will really get into playing it to be honest i think its my fault why its not staying in tune as soon as i got it my sister lent on the wammy and 3 of the strings popped out i never actually new if i put it back right or not

  • does gear4music ship to the us?

  • Reminds of me when i started playing. Keep it up. By the way you could start thinking about getting a distortion pedal or a better amp with some effects it will make a big diference in the way you will aproach your playing.

  • Thanks =] I really only play guitar as a side hobby when i get bored and theres nothing to do, so i usually end up playing it about 2 hours a fortnight, so this gear will hopefully stay with me a long time until it breaks, not to be replaced.

  • the reason it stays intune is beacuse it has a floyde rose like tremolo. belive me i'm getting one of these

  • Okay.. Yes IM A NOOB but i need help.

Ive got like a sort of budget no more than 200 on a guitar right?

But i want somthing that sounds cool and metal rock ish. P.S my fav band is slipknot.

Ive never played a guitar so what do you guys reccomend getting.

  • £200? If so, i recommend, a BC Rich if you're more interested in the body shape. Or check out gear4music's Black knight range, they are quite good guitars for the price. Lastly, check out the kramer strikers! All on the Gear4music site. Although you aren't going to get anything too great for £200 lol

  • I've just bought the Gear4music Metal V with the 15 Watt Amp Pack.

opened it this morning, it's great.

    £139.00 for the lot

  • Congratulations, if it is your first guitar i'm sure it will see you well until you decide to upgrade!

  • its shit

  • I'm getting one of those pretty soon. Is it any good? Maybe you could do a video review on it :) Get back to me about it pleaase. :)

  • Erm, im about to use it for firewood, if that helps? Its ok, for a starter guitar, but after a few months you may want to upgrade.

  • missed a few notes there lol and im prety sure shity pick ups can be changed if you hav good effects!! also pinches are easier to do the more distortion check out my walk cover :P

  • yeah, i was mainly trying to point out that if you've owned a guitar before, avoid this. This is a guitar that should probably only should be used for messing around. Im upgrading this month anyway.

  • its ok for your standards

but when you move up to more progressing leads and shred you'll want to get a black knight g4m guitar

    which are also amazing

but they cost that bit more.

    nice playing! keep it up!

  • cos da 1 im getting is a pack wid the 15 watt amp so there might not be much a difference?

  • What wait a minute did u get the guitar and amp seperately?

  • erm no, i got this amp with the guitar, and yeah sorry it is a 15w

  • It sounds pretty horrible tho so i think i should jus get a Kramer Pacer FT211S ?

  • if you can stretch your budget get the Kramer Striker Custom FR-424CM, that is actually a kick ass guitar, I played it in store and i think its worth more than 3x its price.

And i think the kramer pacer would probably be the same quality as this guitar, as ive just had a snoop around youtube and it doesnt sound too great.

  • lol yes its actually a 10w amp. But its the stock gear4music amp yes.
