So many assists in his career, as well as those dazzling runs when younger.

The respect he has for other players, his containment within the laws of the game mean he's not only the best ever football player (not celebrity) but also one of the best men.

As a footballer, he is truely a magnificient player. One of the greatest midfielders of his time. There are'nt many players who can be mentioned in the same sentence as Zidane, Ronaldo, Maldini, Scholes....but Giggs is definately in that sentence.

@mottsmaughan I said making goals in the late stages of the season, when it mattered, e.g v Chelsea (Premier and Champions League), and scoring v Schalke- outstanding in those matches. And another earlier example; 7-1 v Roma; Ronaldo got most of the glory, but Giggs had assists on 4, made 3 on a plate. He was even superb at full back v West Ham. So many assists in his career, as well as those dazzling runs when younger.

Many people will idolise this man for years to come, I know I will. The respect he has for other players, his containment within the laws of the game mean he's not only the best ever football player (not celebrity) but also one of the best men.

If Wales managed to get into the WC or if he played for England I can only he could have done many things similar to the FA cup goal he scored which would have been talked about for ages.
