  • awsome is 100 a good speed for a stock 600?

  • @bulldog190 In my opinion, yes. Really, all stock 600cc sleds should hit 100 (on the speedometer at least). I've seen 110 on this sled, but it stopped right about there. Still, very quick.

  • well he was going so fast cuz he was low on fuel and didnt want to run out;)

  • What's with the light?

  • @Giantbikefan10 Low Fuel Light.

  • this is in miles right???

  • @Dylan2996oct Yes.

  • that's what my 2001 chevy express van does, only 100 mph cuz of the governor

  • oh $hit a tree fell.... lets see it stop from 100-0.......... yes i know that was on a lake you smarties probably ride the same way out on the trails.

  • @travishale84 Actually, no, we drive much slower on the trails. I would say we average around40 to 45mph, it all depends on how tight the trails are. And we are also not the people who go 50mph around a corner. We slow down and stay on OUR side. We care more about our lives than we do speed while on a trail system.

  • @Trdpshr glad to hear it! its people who drive like Massholes on the trails why i gave up snomobiling. too unsafe for me. although i do miss it, but it was only a matter of time for me with one ski in the powder and the other on the trail before someone cleaned me out going around a corner.

  • @Trdpshr my great grandpa who is 86 years old rides faster tahn 45 around corners on a yamaha 2 up and he still stays on the right side of the trail!!!

  • get some studs dude you can open it up right off the start no track spin at all maybe a lil but no noticable problems

  • @rc8rsracer I don't really have the urge to get them right now. I've also heard mixed reviews on them too. So I don't know, I think i'll stick with what I got.

  • @Trdpshr the only bad opinions i could think of is people that cant ride you ride quads? it makes a sled handle verry similar to that i will never ride w out studs again it just isnt safe

  • @rc8rsracer Yeah I have a few quads that I ride. The reason I don't have much motive for the studs is because I don't really do any ice riding. If the public trails are icey, you probably shouldn't be going fast anyway, especally when your in a corner, studded or not, you should slow down. I dunno I don't have any reason why I don't want them thats worth hearing.

  • @Trdpshr you and i are the exact opposite than i ride balls out all the time you ride slow and at a safe speed thats why i need good studs but even in snow they help and the ice is not a problem if you have good carbides but whatever you just wont understnd until you have them

  • @rc8rsracer my dad rolled his sled at 140 cuz he hit a patch of slick ice with no studs at the time. always used studs and the one winter he didnt that happened

  • @Trdpshr I've got a buddy with the same sled, mine has studs, his doesn't.

I start quicker, stop quicker, but it's a matter of personal preference...

  • @rc8rsracer I hate gettin studs on my track,Everytime I go to hit it they fly off :(

  • @goldyy999 man up andtighten em down and putsome thread lock on the nut and dont be a cheap ass and buy steel studs buy the goodcarbide ones mine havent flown off yet after over 1500 miles of balls out riding you must be doing something wrong

  • @rc8rsracer could be because i got a 440 overboard to dragging and beating most of the 800s and higher

  • @goldyy999 its possible maybe you need the studs called diggerstheyre meant for high horsepower but even my dads 800 making 160 hp doesnt tear out studs you still have to be a goodrider with them and limit the wheel spin they cant do everything

  • It has been very reliable. The only problems I have had with it were Check Engine Light problems, it took a few trips to the dealer before they actually fixed it. Other than that, it hasn't broke down or performed poorly. Currently around 1200 or 1300 miles.

  • has this sled been reliable for you? How many miles are on it?

  • whats your name is it stephen?

  • @leftin167 Nick.

  • gotta love these sleds i just bought a 2010 one like that in febuary didn't get to use it much had no snow in the middle of march

  • pinch it and hold it.... is this the break in???

  • I don't remember if it was still in break in mode, I don't think it had 10 hours yet so it was probably in break in mode still.

  • how would the 600 etec be compared to a 97 mxz 670

  • I don't think you could compare the two. The E-Tec would probably run circles around a 97 670.

  • what a dumb question the etec would kill the 97 670

  • @jas3118325 it would be close the newer motors are fast but are still made for better gas milage. The 670 might beat the 600. Just going by things that i have seen and read so dont shoot the messenger

  • is that a 2008 rev mxz ski doo?

  • No, it is a 2009 SkiDoo MXZ TNT on the new XP Chassis.

  • thanks

  • wow common a ski-doo should do more than 100 my mach z 1000 can do 140 stock haha and my polaris 600 can do 120 =p

  • lol 140

  • @cmerr12 lol your full of shit i raced a mach z 100 with my sisters rev 600 renegade down a mile long lake and he was only 10 feet or less in front of me and we werent close to going 140

  • All stock? Not many stock sleds can do 100+ MPH and hold it for that long.

  • my stock tnt goes 130 mph,

  • Awesome. Did not know that Ski Doo's had 'that' much under the hood.

  • not true, i have an 03 mxz 600ho sport that'll stay above 100 for a long time. Ski doo.s kick ass

  • on a small lake

  • it can reach 100 i got mine at like 120/130

  • Mph? seriously? good luck hitting 200

  • @jakedaredneck Thats what I was gonna say.Why would they put a speedo on a sled that can barely hit 100.

  • 100 is pretty Fast for stock

  • The speedometer goes up to 200 because there is a button you can hit which switches it to km/h.

  • @jakedaredneck .... wow if u should think a little bit before saying something... Its a French sled.... in metric.... the speedo can be set for KPH also.... it will just about do 200 KPH...

  • What kinda camera r u using. Theres hardly any wind noise. Good vid

  • I used the Flip Video camera. The reason there isn't much wind noise is because the windshield was blocking most of the wind plus I think the microphone is on the back of that camera. It stopped working for me late last winter though and I just use a digital camera now w/video, works nearly as good.

  • whats the red light mean?

  • There is no red light. The orange fuel light means I am low on fuel.

  • boy you sure were pounding on it for only about 73 miles on it wasnt broken in yet but it was awesome video didnt seem to loose any power awesome video and you went from 72.9-74.3 miles on it wow

  • Lol yeah well they say the break in period on this is 10hours. The computer kind of controls how fast you can go reguardless of how hard you are hammering on it. I don't think it had 10 hours on it in that video. I will make another this year, sled has over 700miles on it now.

  • i am not thinking BRAAAAAP, but WAAAA

  • shut the fuck up dude. ski doos rule. it only has 73 miles on it when hes making the video, therefore its not broken in yet you dumb fuck.

  • i am not saying on how he rides but a stock sled isnt going to sound like BRAAAAP, the new sleds are winy sounding

  • rev like a chainsaw

  • gotta stud

  • so i'm guessing your sled wasn't past break in? only 73 miles?

  • No I guess not lol. I'll be making another one this winter as soon as possible. I meant to make one late last winter but the amount of snow of the lake (or lack there of) prevented me from making another

  • Kind of overkill having a speedometer that goes up to 200mph when the machine only goes a little over 100mph.

    Not that 100mph is slow!

And your machine sure gets there fast too.

  • speedo goes to 200 because its the same speedo for kmh and mph... you just push a button to switch it between them, and 160kmh is 100mph (roughly) so it makes sense

  • AHHH That make sense,

  • yup :) first time i got on my '03 rev 600ho i was like "wow this speedometer goes way too high..." but then i found out about the kmh and mph speedo is the same

  • wow the rpm's never back down on that bitch.

  • great video, i'd like to have one too.

  • nice to see man, shes got a nice bark to her for stock, thats the first ive really heard an etec, i have an 09 500ss and seems to run about the same.

  • I'm not bragging about it. I'm just showing people who are curious about how quick the sled is. And 100 on the speedometer is a bit more than 85. Lower 90s.

  • duh.thanks mr. obvious. still... 115 mph is like 108 dont say too much bud

  • i have the same sled. i used my gps to measure max speed. and reset it on my sled. gps said 112mph. speedo said 114mph..

  • haha thanks :D

  • any time man. so hows the sled treating you? did you have any power issues this past winter then have to get it reprogrammed and a bunch of new warranty parts? jw cuz mine did that to me this year and it would only go 95. lol

  • YES. First 100miles or so the sled was down on power. Took it to the dealer, they flashed it or whatever. Ran better, kept getting check engine light. Back to the dealer, reflashed again. More check engine light and it shut up once by it self. Back to the dealer. Hand Grips were not getting HOT, back to the dealer (replaced twice). Finally after 5 or so trips to the dealer, it is running great with about 800miles. Does 110mph speedo

  • yeah we took ours to the dealer twice... the first two times for the exhaust temp sensor.cuz it would only go soo fast so we took it in the third time and got like 1000 dollars in warranty sensors and differnt parts and had it reprogrammed and now it runs awesome! best sled weve ever owned

  • alright. this sled will take any of you dumbasses who think its crap. any other 600s that is and it blows by a polaris 700. and 600. the sled hits 115 easily. still pulling im thinking 120 or so. i have seen it at 118

  • @skidookid94 i got it going 125 kph

  • only 100 mph , my sxviper do 115 mph

  • I appreciate you took the time to read the video information. I'll be more than happen to tell you again. I was able to get little traction because there was only a few inches of powder snow. Also, the lake isn't that long. But still, I have only gotten this to go about 110mph.

  • wtf my 600 polaris triple goes 100mph ... -_-

  • thats a fricken triple dumbass... etec still smokes it!! haha

  • ahahah 100mph loll

Got an Apex... it sound much better and performances is such better than this

  • @Desbiens94-an apex is 4 stroke. im not sayin that its a bad sled but im just sayin that its heavy. does not out proform this sled overall. yeah it might beat it in top speed but those apex's were not meant for wjole shots...

  • take the dam limiter off and gooooooo!

  • i knew you got a new sled i couldnt remember what kind

    we gota go out sometime

  • yea.... uhm your yamaha is too slow

  • does rev etec 600 are so easy to modify, me and my body whe modify his and it goes 223Km/h and we only played with the clutch

  • my apex can do 121mph stock

  • i know you guys are stupid! the reason is the clutching that are diffrent

  • yea well 4 strokes have a lot of top end.

  • 4 strokes have lest top end then a 2 stroke more bottom end

  • my dads stock 700 mountain max can do 114 mph stock,,

  • Comment removed

  • thats not a cat thats a yamaha he is talking about...

  • ski-doo is so stupid that their tach is backwards

  • Yea that makes all of their snowmobiles suck doesn't it?

  • so slow get a polaris

  • so slow get a polaris buddy

  • great 14 years worth of technology gets me to the same speed as my 95 ZR 580!

  • hey man it'll do about 110 or so unless you already read that part..

  • yea i read that part. my ZR will do around 100 mph in average conditions on snow. and it has the helix and spring out of a ZRT. i was just pointing that out for the guys who say there 09 600 will whip my 95 580 across the lake anyday when is reality they are very comparable sleds power wise.

  • yea dude I think mine would owns your across a lake... that E-Tec is a torque monster... its better than the SDI and even better than the 600 Carbed so... Yea we'll hit the same top speed, but overall performance, the E-Tec is way better.

  • overall i still think they are very comaparable. do you know what that thing has got for gears? i am thinking that on some newer sleds they are putting low gears in for the illusion of big "torque" and big "HP" but it doesn't have much top end like around 100mph is about it. but i guess the only real way to see which one is faster is to line em' up lol

  • I am not sure what gear is has, but yea line em up would be the best haha

  • speddo is not mph 180 mph ya right

  • this sled is pretty much one of the best sleds! my dad bought one in february of last year and we have had it at 110 but ran out of rooom!! and for those who dont think this sled will get gas mileage... we got 30 miles to the gallon with it riding at about a constant 40 mph! and riding hard and hammering on it constantly it still gets 20 mpg!!!

  • cant wait to october just orderd a 2010 mxz-x600rs e-tec has yours been good to you?

  • Yea just the common recalls that were issued. I think by now they should be pretty much problem free. The engine is a beast

  • thanks cant wait

  • hey how did you put the camera on your handlebars ?

  • What is the power like compared to the 700 you had??

  • Haha I'd be very scared to run this up against the 700 I had. Although I don't have video, I did have this thing 0-110mph WOT. MAN THIS E-TEC PULLS PULLS PULLS PULLS even at 80mph+. This E-Tec has to be AS GOOD AS, if not better than the 700 I had, performance wise. I never look back.

  • that thing is gutless, my edge x 600 does 115 mph

  • Comment removed

  • Im wondering how you got your camera to view the gauges mine keeps falling off the bars.

  • It's hard to explain but I have a Flip Video Camera, which has a threaded hole in the bottom. I took a U clamp thingy that has threaded ends, and put that around the handle bars, and put a piece of metal across the "U" and put 1 nut on each side so the "U" wouldn't fall off. Then I just screwed my Flip Video on the threaded part of the "U"

  • I've got an '09 600 ETec Renegade...the e-tecs are awesome sleds....great power and 24 mpg...

  • Yea awsome engine.

  • 24mpg my rear end. Maybe with the track off the ground.

  • I would'nt bet your rear end...this sled has consistently gotten 22mpg and a high of 24mpg...I would not have believed it either, but there is no reason what-so-ever for me to lie about it, unless you can think of one...."track off the ground", ur a funny guy there...

  • Yeah, I thought it was something like 15L/100km, wasn't it?

  • looks like it struggles to get to 100mph. but it is a ski doo.

  • Have u taken on a sno cross course and how did it handle on it, how is the suspension??

  • No, I have only driven it on Trails and some Boondocking. It handles great on the trails, almost like being on a rail. I'd imagine if you put studs on it, it would be perfect. The suspension takes the bumps really well. The seat is the only complaint I have.. it's kinda rough and stiff.

  • can you hold the skis up on it for a long time.

  • With some practice, I probably could... I don't wheelie much.

  • hows the trrottle responce on it? Can you lift the skis at all?

  • yea i have 2 and you can get the skis up no problem

  • Throttle response is awesome. Also, the throttle has barley any "back force" so your thumb never gets fatigue.

  • The sled is great on the trails! Really hooks up in the corners; it's like driving on rails! I was taking recently groomed corners 45mph no problem at all. Oh, and yea, there are riser bars and it is verrrry comfortable!

  • omg wow thats fast!!

  • Is that mph or kmh?

  • MPH

  • Thats good, what were your problems?

  • Check engine light kept coming on... needed a new knock sensor.

  • Nice man, how do you like the e-tec, I love mine

  • Despite a few minor problems I had in the first 100miles, I don't look back at those at all. It runs great now and is an awesome sled! Great MPG and great Power and great Suspension!

  • that's mph right? i know this sounds dumb but it's gotta be, there's no way a 600 can top off at 11 km/h, lol

  • meant 100 km/h....sorry

  • Yea it is MPH lol

  • lol yeah i figured that out when i left the annotations on..lol oh well, thats cookin pretty fast. i want to get an e-tec now, the 550 fan is hard on gas, and i'd like to have more power, how do u like that one?

  • yea my 550 has some mods its bull shit it avages 10mpg wtf

  • lol, mine's the same, but i guess the carbs are runnin her a bit rich where it was all redone from the crank up last spring, but still it sucks...if gas was the price it was last year I wouldn't be able to keep up...

  • I love this thing so much, its a comfortable ride on trails and also has definite power.

  • yea, my buddy just got a 09 summit 600 e-tec, he hasn't ridden it yet, but I'm sure he'll like it too. I wanted to get one of those white and yellow and black x pkg's, the mxz e-tec for 09, there's a few left at our dealership here, i guess ppl ordered them and couldnt take them home, or the dealer ordered them in case more people wanted one than ordered them.

  • Yea I love that color combo. My dad was gonna order an X Package and I was gonna help with the payments, problem was we didn't know I was going to be offered a job and take it 2 weeks after you couldn't order an X anymore... oh well...

  • i guess you lost out a bit, but i'd say you could get the plastics and suspension upgrades to make it an x model if you wanted to badly enough, but still, you got a wicked sled there

  • Nice...very nice indeed! One day...one day!

  • the gauges on my sled suck mine are all wacked out..gas lite is always on.

  • Yea that is a common problem with people who have HID kits, and also to some who don't have them.

  • They must run there RPM's high do they? :S

  • 8,000 RMP is right where you want to run, for SkiDoo anyway...

  • Yah, actually, I guess it do seem right, but looks like when your going at a slow speed looks like she is up high to? or is it me? haha

  • You are a bit right about looking high at a lower speed... keep in mind though the clutch doesn't engage until 4,000RPM, so if you wanted to think of it this way, 4,000RPM is like 1,000RPM, so it isn't that high in a certain aspect. Still, those 2 strokes do rev pretty high.

  • Yah man haha true! :p nice sled though, gettin any more posted up?

  • Yea I am going up north next week so expect a couple new videos on here by 19th.. 20th at the latest.

  • Nice! Got mine last month, gota love the power and fuel/oil economy on the E-Tec.

  • Yep.
