@hantont I knew sooner or later someone was going to scratch their head as to why a SM58 would be attached to the Zoom. Versatility is the main reason. However, like the Zoom, the SM58 is a great Microphone. The SM58 (being directional mic) tends to filter background noise a little better. Keep in mind the Zoom functions like a high quality, condenser mic. It can pick up background noise if you don‘t watch those levels. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice Review.. thanks man, Have a question.. I play Guitar and love to record myself and my sister doing some covers and stuff, wiht the Line in can i record my electric acoustic guitar while the mircophone records my sister at the same time??
@hadgi1010 The answer is YES. However you will need a mixer. I used the Yamaha MG102C in my other video about the Zoom. Use the RECORD out on your mixer and plug in to the line-in on the Zoom. As with any recorder, check your levels - be sure to use no presets for audio levels - use manual levels. The Zoom does a great job of taking in sound from a good mixer. - Monitor your sound with headphones FROM THE ZOOM. Hope this helps.
Thanks man, great review. Can I ask, what is the purpose of putting an SM58 through the H2N? Why not just use the onboard mic?
