i read over the conductors peice in my band class and your trumpets are playing the right notes(sort of, there were a few noticable mess ups), but the trumpet parts are just awkward sounding. I have a feeling that your 2nd trumpets should tone it down so it doesn't sound so horrid.

@JRomason The trumpets are actually quite good in this ( i play this part in my band) especially seen as they are quite young so don't call it horrid because that's just mean and nonconstructive. Do you even play anything?

so this is how it's suppeosed to sound! lol i go to school at a Middle School in honolulu and we really suck so i don't know what it's supposed to sound like. I am in the flute section!, and to be honest i think that the saxes and the trombones are really dragging us down because we don't even play at this speed we play granny speed gosh.... you guys are really good! i hope we sound this good by the time we have to perform it! heehee thanks for posting this!

well, i am a freshman and theres 19 trumpets and im #5(first trumpet) our band currently has this peice.we have been playing it for about a week, and im sorry to say its sounds a whole lot better than this.tell your director to work on things called "sectionals" where sections(like trumopets flutes etc.) get together in their own sections and practice together(to sound better)it REALLY works

I can understand trumpets in the end finale before the calm part being tired. I played this piece in ninth grade as first trumpet, it was tough then.

my middle school has 6, 7, 8th graders. i'm in 8th. and most advanced band members have a lil more sevvies than 8th graders and a few sixers.
