Hmm, dulcimer orchesta. I like the idea. Need to get the union and find enough cats up here to create one. I am just a metal dulcimer player (electric dulicmer played amped through VOX, distortion, tremelo, and effect pedals.) You might be interested in Ekim Beau and his "crossbeau zither" it's plucked, not hammered but is large enough to have a wide range like a piano. You can find him on youtube or in person in Helen, Goergia.
How come this instrument isn't as popular as the guitar?? The sound just goes straight to the heart. Keep it up you guys. If you continue like this, one day you'll play for kings and queens :0)
These guys only had one hour to learn this song and they had never played the instrument before. I do agree if we had more time i would add lots more to this song. Please check out the video Cosmic Sister for a fuller version.
I run a club with 22 students regularly. I also run an after school club and visit various schools in my area. This film is at a music festival where I set up my equipment and run daily workshops for festival goers. I also run workshops for up to 30 people for corporate events.
If you can find me a workshop to run in Japan that pays my traveling expenses I would love to come there :)
Dizzi- love your stuff! What's the name of this tune? Also, any plans to come to the USA anytime soon? There are quite a few folk music festivals that I'm sure would love to have you!
