NEVER hold a skateboard by the deck, it has grippy material on it, which is harmful for the skin, hold the skateboard by the metal on the inside, this way your skin wont be harmed but it'll be improved and massaged by the burnished metal, i have been skating for 3 months now, i can do the ollie sometimes.
