You should try almond butter in oatmeal. I have Kashi maple oatmeal for breakfasts and my nutritionist started making me mix almond butter into it for protein. It tastes like cookie dough, and it's warm and soothing first thing in the morning.
I totally know what you mean with the period. I'm glad someone else feels the same way and I'm not the only crazy one :). I know I should want to have a healthy body, but at the same time it reminds me that I'm gaining weight, which freaks me out.
Aww congrats hun on bringing your lunch that is great!
I defn freak out about grocery shopping too. Ive started listening to my ipod during shopping and its been pretty helpful (my hair covers the earbods - so no one knows).
Im sorry about the critical comments you received .
ok so food suggestions.... - hummus - portobello pizzas (message me if you want the recipe) supper yummy! - fruit salad with yogurt in the am? - Joy -
Awww girl, I am so sorry about that idiot guy on the forumn. I know where you are coming from. I used to go in, pick out food, then get too overwhelmed to check out and just leave the cart in the middle of nowhere. You are doing such a great job of moving forward. I am confident that you will be able to overcome this obstacle in no time at all :-) Good goals, BTW.
Amazing job with the shopping, the dinner AND the lunch that you took to work! I know it sucks about the period thing.... in time though, your thinking will change. Just give the "recovery" a chance. You are doing fabulous and you sound so happy and so proud! YOU SHOULD BE!!! YAY!!! xox~Amy
scones with cream and jam if you're feeling up to it are lovely. I used to have them all the time when I was younger. Have you tried cheese scones? They don't sound great but I like them :)
The food items you bought and the meal you prepared tonight sounds fabulous. You are so creative. I too like peanut-butter--banana sandwiches, but I also (only sometimes) add little chocolate morsels...yum, yum. I think you would like it too, Sarah.
