honda doesnt have fast cars... honda has some nice cars, but the NSX isnt fast, it just handles amazingly. Likewise for the S2k. Thats one reason. Another is honda's reputation for making high reving torqueless cars (even the K20 makes less torque than my arm and a torque wrench do...though i do honestly love that motor)

I'm not sure honda has made great advancementsin motors either...they didnt invent Vtec FYI, they just bought the patent. They refine existing technologies

I don't understand why people hate on Hondas so bad. Jesus. Honda has made some awesome advances in engines and they weren't even started for racing. They are made to be reliable and get good gas mileage, that's it. No to go fast. They have special car that are QUICK not fast, S2000, Integra type-r. And they have ONE real fast car and it's the NSX.

All I'm saying is Ford, GM, Dodge...have fast special car and slow normal ones too. Mustang, Camaro, Challenger etc...which I like but don't hate.

The new 5.0 is VERY advanced. It's not like any other engine Ford has ever produced so OBVIOUSLY engines are going to get better in time, more power and better fuel economy at the same time

The reason why acura was released in the states was BECAUSE of a voluntary export restraint imposed by japan, meaning it limited the number of exports to the US, Honda motor co, made acura as a way to PRODUCE MORE LUXURY VEHICLES and still stay within the restraints. Acura is a divison of honda. Why would they do that? Why does ford make Lincoln, or GM make Cadillac? Companys divide so they can reach more customers.

Yes Chev makes high end vehicles like the suburban, but thats only because people usually stick to one brand.
