I was one of those kids who used to abuse drugs and alcohol and listen to eminem and other rappers, but since the day I turned my life around and excepted Jesus as my savior and God as my father, I have never looked back. I love this song and Dear Slim part 1. I was one of those kids who used to abuse drugs and alcohol and listen to eminem and other rappers, but since the day I turned my life around and excepted Jesus as my savior and God as my father, I have never looked back. I think what KJ-52 is trying to do is awesome. There will always be the people that hate what you believe in but don't return with hurtful words just prayer and forgiveness. These songs are some of the dumbest shit I've ever heard. He talks about eminem having to "sell his soul to sell records" and how "he sounds different now" insinuating that his raps are just to sell records. He raps about real shit and real feelings. If he wanted to sell records he would be rapping about hoes and money like every other rapper out there these days. The only reason he sells records is because 1. people can relate to his messages / 2. he is an amazing rapper flow and wordplay wise.

@ZombieBakeOven I think what KJ is getting at is that while Eminem doesn't rap about "hoes and money," he's still hurting. Listen to the words of Not Afraid. There's so much pain in Eminem's words. He is changing, but the only difference is that now Em is actually searching for an answer to all the pain he's experiencing. KJ is one dude who understands Eminem and actually cares about him and takes time to pray for him.

@Xternil Eminem. Did. Not. Respnd. To. This. Song. I've listened to this song on various videos, and they all say that this song or that song was a response. I'm a total stan, and I only found out about this song today, so no, there's not a response. Plus, this song came out circa 8 mile, and My Darling came out in 2009. It doesn't make sense. There's no reason for Em to respond. This isn't a diss. And the song "Dear Stan" is called "Stan". No dear. Ok, I'm done being a dick for the day. Sorry.

@318laura No, he's not even close to calling em out at all. If he made it towards all popular people, then there would be nothing personal involved in it. Eminem and KJ52 had similar childhoods with parents that abused them and KJ's parents got divorced when he was 12. I can see how you might think he's calling him out, but he's not doing so in a negative way. KJ's life was most like em's and so he feels a strong connection. It wouldn't mean anything if he made this song about Lindsay Lohan.
