Chris, unless you are a pro photographer ( using Eizo ) or editor for TV & film, calibration is not required

@SAMFICOM you think so? I know calibration devices are available for the average computer, but unless you are a pro photographer who in dependent of colour arrangement it's not required. Also You can't calibrate Mac screens as they are gloss and to calibrate professionally, you need matte screens

Thanks for the site! I do lots of video editing and colour correction, so having the monitors display the right colours would be a good thing :)

OS X has colour correction built in. Works pretty well. I think NVidia includes that in their drivers as well.

if you want a good LCD get a VA or ISP based one. Unfortunately 99% of LCD's are TN based which are the worst by a long way. Mainly with nasty viewing angle artifacts and they only have 6 bit colour (they simulate 8 bit)
