I really dont like the way they portrayed gondor in the film...as a weak country that needs complete rescue by rohan....i prefer rohan and the rohirrum are fucking bad ass....but gondor was supposed to represent kingdom, strong force and weilding power...the movie made them look week and helpless

It is true that they portrayed Gondor TOO weak, however Gondor was in the days of declining and its power had been basically spent since the kinstrife. Gondor lost all naval supremacy after the kinstrife and little by little the mighty armies of the west crumbled. The arrival of the Rohirrim during the days of Cirion the Steward brought new life to Gondor, as they finally met friends and not foes.

Oh well. There was still strength left in Gondor, though not much by the end of the Third Age.

yes u are right Gondor was weakened by the Kinstrife and the Great Plague which wiped out most of Gondor, Rohan and Arnor (Gondor's sister kingdom in the North destroyed by Angmar the witch kings kingdom)

I think the greatest loss for Gondor was the destruction of Osgiliath and the loss of the Palantír. The Osgiliath stone was the chiefstone in the south, having dominance over all others, it was not said what happened to it but it's very likely it is still on Anduin's bottom or perhaps even somewhere in the bottom of the sea. With the destruction of Osgiliath, Gondor's hold over the eastern fiefs and Ithilien especially was weakened.

First off this is rome total war with a mod called fourth age on it. Second this is download but u must have rome:total war (Alexander expansion) for this mod to work. third please don't state negative opinions on a game that u have not tried. The game itself is Rts(real time strategy) where unlike other games u have sloppy organized units, in this mod u have full organized units. they travel in a synchronized formation which is decided by the player how its placed and what to go on O or D
