  • Maaann! I'm so surprised! He haves a neck! háhá :-D

    Finaly I found it! lol

  • What fucking So goooood animation! I love this intro! I must play my emu of Sega CD now! haha... :-D

  • Win.

  • toot toot sonic warrior? uh i think i'll take sonic boom, though the singer's engrish is amusing

  • MAravilhoso!! Wonderful!!

  • There's no way that the girl that sings is not hot.

  • I can't make out 80% of this.

  • the japanese soundtrack is great, fun to listen to music, but the us soundtrack fits the game better. i like both but play the game with the us soundtrack. i have the pc version so i can change the music to anything.

  • where can i get this song? i have SONIC CD, the game for PC, the disc is yellow.

    is that the one?

  • this is the jap. version opening its called you can do anything

  • This song is like 100000 times better than the lame American song!!!

  • Sonic Gems Collection would had been so much better if it had an option that would allow you to choose between the two different versions of the Sonic CD Soundtrack.

  • I have Gems Collection, but it doens't have this cool song, is it because mine it's an american game?

  • Not exactly. Japan's Gems Collection doesn't have it either.

Only Sonic CDs that had the song were JPN Mega CD version and EURO Mega CD version. You can also hear it in Sonic Jam's Theater Mode, all Sega Saturn regions.

For some reason, even Sega of Japan doesn't use it anymore. They probably lost the rights to the soundtrack long ago, and have been using the US soundtrack ever since (probably cheaper to license).

  • I have bought the jap gems collection for the game cube only to listen to the Japan BSO and yes it has this song and all the soundtrack of the sonic cd jap and euro version ;) .

  • That pretty much runs counter to just about every other hands-on impression I've seen.

On that note, I've checked the wiki page for SGC and it appears to have been confirmed that, at the very least, the PS2 version contained both soundtracks for Sonic CD, but would only load the Japanese soundtrack if booted on a Japanese region PS2.

  • @Psxphile It's worth mentioning that, while "Sonic Boom" is the song that got released in Super Smash Bros Brawl, this "You can do Anything" song can still be found deep within the game disc along with other unused tracks. For some reason they were left in the final game :S

Anyway this brings back memories :D

  • sonic boom is better!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • Hey fuck you mate, this song is rockin.

  • Well fuckin explain Toot Toot Warrior, retard!

  • HINT: This song was made by japanese people, you fucking idiot. It's a nice enough thing there's no engrish in it, so the lyrics DON'T have to make sense. :>

  • Gladly: Japan

  • What the fuck is Toot Toot Sonic Warrior!? As in what the fuck does it mean? This aint World of Warcraft!

  • This version of Sonic Cd is awesome because it sounds like a Japanese guy trying to speak english.

  • I agree.

  • Im just making a refecrence asshole.

  • Lol I love Engrish! It's so funny! I wonder if Japanese people feel the same way when an English person tries to speak Japanese!

  • Dude. Chill.

Actually, I was under the impression that the Euro and Japan versions of SMC used the 'Sonic Boom' OP and ED, too. It's been that way since the PC version of Sonic CD was released years ago: Sonic Boom for all regions. Apparently SEGA in general either doesn't care for the original soundtrack (not likely)... or they no longer have the rights to use them.

  • *facepalm*

While you are, in essence, correct I feel I have to inform you that by posting a video of the OP and ED of Sonic CD I am in no way saying that the game was available in SMC. As it so happens, SCD was going to be added to the collection but was scrapped (only to be added to Gems later). However, the videos were left in as unlockables.

I've never stated that the game was on SMC, just the videos... and THEN, only in the GameCube version.

  • or just call gems collection Sonic Mega Collection 2

  • Isn' t Mega CD... this is the pc version!

  • Who said this was Mega CD? I didn't say this was Mega CD.

Grainy video a.k.a. PC version isn't fit to be uploaded here.

  • And besides, this was the version on the UK version of the MegaCD version of the game, so it just might be from the MegaCD.

  • Similar only due to the music used. This video was ripped as a high-quality Sofdec file from Sonic Mega Collection sans the audio portion (Sonic Boom). I then muxed You Can Do Anything into it and coverted into XviD before uploading here.

PC version were low quality WMVs, I believe.

The Sega/Mega CD versions were TruVideo files and had frames ripped out and color depth dropped significantly. What I have here is the highest quality version of this video that's ever been released to the public.

  • WOW

The lady in singing in the song sounds SOOOO much different than the version I have...

  • it's get good at 1:03

  • THIS is the sonic i'm a fan of.Not this new sonic & friends crap.

  • Sonic Boom > You Can Do Anything

  • 2nded

  • Oh how the mighty have fallen.

  • he doesn't say gettin horny .

he says Leather and lace, then says Kickin'his booty

  • Which is almost as bad.

  • lol i know

  • he said gettin in place

  • The part i like about the song the most is the black guys singing, the chicks is okay but at bits it sounds like shes gettin an orgasm lol!

  • I love when he says "SONIC BOOM!!" I love this song they should have used this version for the US version and future Sonic CD ports, also if u listen carefully at 00:31, when he says "leather legs" after that he says "gettin horny!" lol

  • you mean gems collection right? cause if no i would be super hapy to know i have sonic cd in mega collection

  • Sonic CD isn't in Mega Collection (although it was planned to be at some point in development), but the FMVs were as unlockables.

  • rating:

    sonic boom=7/10

    you can do anything=999/10

  • its actuallly "sonic, you can do anything" lol

  • No it's offical name is You Can Do Anything. Toot Toot Sonic Warrior is just what fans like to called it.

  • Who gives a shit?

  • "Oh, didn't I ROBOTNIK tell you?"

  • You Can Do Anything is better than Sonic Boom however I don't think it suits this particualar intro.

  • This version is WAY better than the US one.

  • That song sounds so retro, I love Retro. :)

  • I was expecting the DBZ intro song to come out.

  • Great british ... this damn song suck sorry :S but the original ''Supersonic Ride '' rule more

  • anybody got this version in widescreen (!) format???

  • I like both of them the same one..

  • Yep Your right it is called that but other people call it Toot Toot Sonic Warrior

  • The real name of the song is You Can Do Anything.

  • Hey, where was the Eggman mountain?

  • I don't see how anyone can think that Sonic Boom could replace this.

  • Sonic Boom > Toot Toot Sonic Warrior

I'm so glad a high resolution and full frame version of this intro exists... it's so badass. :)

  • This is truly the best sonic cd intro and the very first one I saw on sonic jam. Got a shock when i heard sonic boom with this vid on mega collection (first time I saw it in years and I was blind sided lol)

  • yeah sure its the intro of sonic cd, in da smc version, i know it

  • Looks great! Psyche.
