if u accept him to ur team he will be very useful but in the end he will betray u but when he is betray killing him is very easy 'cause he won't be a boss.just like a darkspawn soldier :) i think u want to take him to your team

Go to denerim and get the job were you have to travel to "refugees" or something. You'll find him there. BUT. You need to have gotten one team via the grey warden treatie. (Dalish/mages/etc)
you don't have to complete redcliffe, complete anywhere first, preferably the circle tower because the fade mission is a pain in the ass, and you'll get wynne, travel some and you'll get Zevran

cant say i liked him.... but i really was glad to see him in DA2, after hour of endless and uninteresting gameplay.

if you already a duelist, you have to wait until level 14, then increase zevran's approval. then ask him to teach you to become assassin
