  • the reason the front brake doesn't stop very well is because if the quality because I have have a 1300$ bike and the disc brakes stop instantly

  • @TheOutdoorsyman1 My disc brakes are HORRIBLE. I have CCM Apex and I heard disc brakes were better then V-brakes or any other one for example. Now whenever I press my rear brake it "snaps" and barely stops the bike. The rear brake was never good to begin with, but I don't know what that snapping sound is and the brake barely works now. Can you help me out please?

  • @goathead111 v-brakes are always better than mechanical disk brakes in the dry (hydraulic disks are a different story) take your bike to a local bike shop, you need your brakes adjusted (usually $10 a brake, depending on where you go)

  • @SuperFunder I checked it out and realized that it needed to be adjusted because the brakes were leaning to one side. But in general, Canadian Tire mechanics are quite horrible, and it's a good idea to get it checked out by a proffesional bike shop after being purchased.

  • @goathead111 u have a ccm to?

  • @goathead111 I work in a bike shop, so I see the things kids working in canadian tire do. their mistakes is what keeps bikeshops in business

  • bought a ccm nitro xt a week ago, and u wont believe the right foot pedal already BROKE. Just like that. In addition, there's a squeaky noise i always keep hearing, and i don't know where the F*** that's coming from. Overall pretty shit bike.

Lesson: DONT BUY BIKES FROM CANADIAN TIRE! SHIT QUALITY! NO RETURN!

  • @401demon yep buy them from an actual bike shop!

i will say though after 2 years this bike is still holding up on just urban biking lol

  • @randomrazr

and whats even more retarded, its a mountain bike and i only ride it on the road, so nothing should go wrong with it. and now they say i cant return it.

do everyone a favour, tell them never to buy bikes from canadian shit tire

    nuff said.

  • @401demon dont they have atleast 14 day return policy?

since u JUST got it, id go back and speak to a manager and demand satisfaction as a valued canadian tire customer lol

  • @401demon Lol, same with my friends. These 2 guys I know both have CCM nitro's and both of them don't have a right pedal, lol. It's quite funny to see actually.

  • Question, when I ride my bike it makes a squeaky sound. WTF is that?

  • @lancemortel9 would help if u say where its coming from

  • norco 2009 norco katmandu

  • @jackhillbilly norco is usually a good brand. i was leaning towards a norco pinaccle and this ccm, but it was 450 dollars.

  • @randomrazr ya its agood bike but i ride2 3 hours everyday so parts get worn down but ive had to go back 9 times cuz the hkeep putting parts on wrong or they put wrong parts on i have to go back this saturday so they can test it and see whats wrong

for 200 dollars thatccm looks pretty good

  • i boughtr a bike shop bike for 500 dollars i had to put 360 bucks into it after 6 month

  • @jackhillbilly parts broke after 6 months?

  • @randomrazr ya parts got super worn down and parts snaped then it skiped after they put lots oft new stuff on the they got oil on the discs while the were fixing it so i had to get new rotors then they kept saying i have topget new parts like cRANK SHAFTS AND IT WONT SKIP BUT IT STILL SKIPS SO I HAVE TO TAKE IT IN FOR THE 8 TH TIME THIS SPRING

  • @jackhillbilly what kind of bike was it? norco? specialized?

  • i was looking at the CCM bikes at canadian tire dude, they arent much better than a super cycle there, i got one full suspension for 100$ supercycle vice, its shit but so is CCM in my opinion

  • @Taud been usin this for over a year. quality is same as my supercycle, and it works, gets me from point a to point b LOL

i didnt ahve 400+ dollars at the time to buy a better quality bike from an actual bike shop so settleed for this for 200 bucks.

    thanks for watching man!

    subscribe if you like :)

  • @randomrazr yeah for sure thats why i went even lower @ 120$ for the super cycle vice,i just cant afford anything either at the moment i just needed a new one for work, theyre nice shit tho atleast i know they last a while, i was originally going to buy the CCM static but like i said, im cheap : P

  • actually a Norco pinnacle aint a bad bike for just driving around lol or even if you want jump it, you can lol. Norco has a standard 1 year warranty on the whole bike and you can get a 5 year for a extra 75$, also Standard lifetime warranty on frame! I had my bike for 3 years and one day I found out that my frame cracked, so i took my bike to the bike shop where I bought it and Norco gave me a new bike ! so thats why I stopped buying cheep department store bikes.

  • @greenbikecoWPGMB haha should have invested in the 400d ollar norco at the time than :p. ah well, this ccm actually been a nice ride for past year and a half.

i think i read the warrenty on the frame is 3 years. apparently cause its alunimum. steel frames have lifetime warrenty. if this bike ever goes (break or something), i know now where to buy a decent bike next time..if there is a next time, by than, iil be on 4 wheels :p

is urs a specialized?thanks for watching sub if u like :)

  • @randomrazr yes a specialized hardrock, its the best bike I have ever owned!

  • If you adjust the break cable you can get them like mine.

I can top fine with one finger on my break levers

They even stop faster in the rain when they are wet.

I have two bikes with disc breaks I can lock them up with just one finger.

This way I can keep more fingers on the bars.

  • @paulsviplist haha i will try

thanks for watching and subcribe if you like!

  • SELL! i had this bike I hate it I Trashed it! RETURN!!!!!

  • @Chadeo242

lol! they let u return it?

dude i have had this since october now, its been fine for me ever since lol

if u payed alot for it (i.e not on sale) it aint worth it

but for a 200 dollar bike i payed for it, its not that bad.

what was wrong with yours anyway?

  • @randomrazr He took it off a 20 foot dirt jump and warped the rim and now blames it on the bike.

  • nicce review, im thinking of gettin a new bike in the summer, got any suggestions????

  • @aooskvarek

uhh it depends, how much are u willing to spend?

and how often are u going to ride it?

and what kind of riding do u want to do? (like mountain biking, or urban biking with casual off road , etc)

then i can answer that questions lol

  • @randomrazr i ride my bike like almost every day in the summer and fall with my friends, i like to ride casual and off road, i put a oddometer on my bike and at the end of summer the milage was like 854 miles, i ride a lot

  • @aooskvarek

and how much are u willing to spend on a bike?

  • @randomrazr up to 500 dallars

  • @aooskvarek

go tot he bike shop and check their bikes out first

since u like riding so much, i dont want u to get a shitty department store bike to ruin ur expeirence lol

i wouldnt suggest buying one right then and their, but check out the bikes at the bike shop. tell them u want 300-450 dollar range, and u should be happy with what u get

i was gonna get a norco pinaccle, had front suspension, alunimum frame, front disc brakes, and looked kinda cool but coudlnt afford it lol

  • @randomrazr thanks for your help man, i really appreciate it

  • @randomrazr thanks man i really appreciate your help

  • @aooskvarek

np man if u need any more info just let me know

    good luck

  • @aooskvarek Won't get anything for 500 dallars but if you mean 500 dollars you could get a decent bike.

  • @toad773 the norco pinaccle bike iw as looking at was like 479. should ahve gotton that but oh well

  • @randomrazr Yeah I was making fun of that guys spelling of dollars but anyway those comments are a year old so what are you riding now?

  • @toad773 still the CCM bike in the vid lol

it still looks new and works, no issues surprisingly lol

  • @randomrazr Sweet I have a similar ccm but it doesn't have rear suspension. I also have a trek 820 and a norco pinnacle which both have the exact same front and rear derailleur as your ccm.

  • @toad773 ment to ay dollars

  • you should probably sell it. i might sell mine i don't know i really like to do a lot of trails and i ride my bike a lot as well. i really hate the middle suspension it doesn't work out for me. and the tires pisses me off too lol

  • @Mupp1t

nahh ive rode it so many times now im use to it, plus its the onyl bike of the two to have brakes LOL

im pretty satisfied with it now, but if i ever buy a new bike it will be from a bike shop. this is a great bike for the budget though, even if it is from CT LOL
