PFT tidus DOES come back! yeah yeah i sound like a school girl bitch who doesn't like sad endings, but hey it does look like in the end that the fool was revived and finally--FINALLY he and yuna can be together FOREVERRRR. plus, (trying not to add spoilers), he did do a pretty big favor for the fayths if you know what i mean, so the least they can do is grant him a life hahaha.
to me everything after the end credits doesn't exist (meaning the under water scene and the whole of ffx-2) cuz they shud of just left it with tidus gone... it sucks that they just cudn't leave it with a tragic ending, that had more meaning to it, they had to cheap out with quick easy fix, so they could live happily ever after.... brilliant game tho love it to death...
@DaRkLoRd1061 yuna deserved to keep him though, even without FFX-, but i know what you mean. As much as people like happy endings, there are hardly any sad ones. I think they should make a new ff that is linked to spira, or is in a future spirs
I literally just beat this game, and my PS2 crashed or froze or SOMETHING and I was stuck on a white screen with whooshing sounds for, well, ever. So thank you for posting this, because otherwise, I would have probably jumped off of something really high for beating the game, but not knowing how it ends.

I refuse to play FFX-2, this ending was perfect in every way. It's emotional, moving and sad, but that's why I love it. Not everything has to have a happy ending, and that's what makes it great.
Sure FFX-2 exists, but as a far as I'm concerned, it doesn't. Tidus is gone, and he's not coming back. A mushy reunion just ruins the impact and misses the point entirely. The point being that sometimes you have to make sacrifices to find what you want.
@philbateman1989 i agree with you completely, yet some people do like a happy ending. normally i'd go on and say 'im happy squaresoft divided it into sequels so you could chose what typw of ending you'd like', but i firmly believe it's no coincidence the sequel came out as soon as square enix was made, as they do not know what they are doing.

So, after watching this and X-2's endings, the only one of X-2's endings that makes sense with X is the good ending. (Second best)
