  • One of those must see places ! had the great fortune of being able to clamber around all the Loco's at Barry Island (found a hole in the fence) while on holiday at Butlins in the Seventies, just followed Dad through the fence, it was better than Butlins !

  • This is a wonderful article. What a shame though that John Craven didn't mention the old Purton railway crossing, which was a main rail crossing across the River Severn until an accident in 1960. Googe 'Friends of Purton' for mpre details.
