@Driftkingrik thanks for your interest.. see the plugs coming out of the digital piano ? that goes straight to the computer. Another thing I do is midi patch the keyboard to the keyboard above which produce the great sounding piano.

@lole180595 thanks for your interest. the piano i'm playing on is a slave keyboard using sounds patched from the other 2. Top keyboard used for orchestration and sequencing (used in other videos)

Thanks for the post and the great description, after i found a 3/4 version in the realbook i played it on my guitar but it sounded strange to my ears so i had to get into it and find out more about the history of this excellent piece of music and stumbled upon your performance. I still like the swinging version much more ( Thanks Quincy!) and i dig the way you play it although i rather like the romantic layed back style. NIce one, peace!

@Joysy0602 You can find different versions, three as far as i know in the realbooks which are accurate, i dont play piano but guitar and i dont know how helpful it might be for you, since it isnt a full piano partita but only the melody and the chords. However it should not be a problem combining the chords with the melody because you have one more free hand in comparison to a guitar player. Cheers!

yes , its great how everyone plays this in his own style :)

i did a small concert together with alot of classic pianists, they all played like super fast on unbelievable hard songs, but i (the jazz pianist) was the only one who could keep the crowd awake.

My recommendation to you is to actually teach yourself. No one can teach you how to be a jazz pianist, but if you have to find a teacher then make sure you play amateur jazz stuff... Classical piano lessons are nice, and I learned how to play all kinds of classical pieces, but using proper fingering doesn't really matter and style is something you'll never be taught.
