  • BOYOHBOY! Any 10 year-old would be proud to own this car!

  • impala charger crown vic

    BASE PRICE $24,355 $23,475 $26,535

    PRICE AS TESTED $25,315 $30,480 $35,445

this is from motor trend..they did testing and compared the tree cop cars. the charger was faster..easer to handle..breaks the shortest distance..weighs less..base price is cheaper then the three..ect....

  • i read the same article and of the three the cop that was present was asked which he liked and even though the charger did everything u said (except for the handling, and it weighed less cause the vics trunk was full of police gear) he still chose the vic.

  • You'd be surprised to know that it makes little or no difference in our tax dollars whether PD's purchase crown vics vs. chargers. The reason being is that when vehicles are sold to PD's,it's very scaled down in features except for the engine & drivetrain. But obviously police cruisers don't have leather interior or high powered stereo systems or other expensive nonessential ammenities. It evens out.

  • i understand this but if you start with one car that cost 25000 and the other 30000 and take the same shit off the 25000 is going to be cheaper, maybe not by much but still it's tax dollars. the vic is still a great cop car at a better price.

  • every time i see a city vehicle like a truck, suv or dodge charger i ask myself, why are our tax dollars being spent on unnecessary vehicles. why does the FD need suvs and trucks they are more expensive and cost more to operate and maintain. As far as the PD do they really need a charger that cost about 10,000 more than a crown vic. couldn't our tax dollars be spent better.

  • ...and as far as fire dept having SUVs and trucks, there a some calls that dont require an engine or ladder..why take an engine to a public service call like a tree down, when u can just take a SUV. now that would be a waste of fuel and money. there are lots of other reasons also, and untill u join a fire dept and see how things really work and operate, and see why they do things the way they do..you'll never understand !

  • i understand that it's not economical to use an engine for every call, but instead of using gas guzzling, high cost maintenance large suvs; couldn't u do the same job with a car, minivan, hatchback or even a small suv. i mean why do u need a large 4 wheel drive suv; this is northeast ohio, mostly flat and almost everyplace has paved roads or at least access roads. don't say u need four wheel drive for winter, i and many many others have done fine without 4 wheel drive for decades.
