One of my favourite films of all time, and I actually love this vid.

I think its a real shame that they didn't like the video - but really, they should be glad, who knows whether the song would have been as popular without it being used in the movie?? I don't doubt they are talented artists with a great fanbase, but I think this is a fun video, and love how the actors got involved. I find it much better than taking a pre-recorded video, and slotting parts of the movie in between.

So my question is: why would he want to give songs (plural) for the film 'Yes Man', which is shit, when he didn't want to give songs to 'Road Trip', which is also shit?

I interpreted his reluctance as being related to the specific movie, rather than soundtracks in general. I think his main object was that this was a 'frat boy party movie', and he didn't want to be associated with it, whereas Yes Man, while not very good, is just a regular movie.
