  • She should just say XMRV causes CFS in mice. The human CFS thing was a misunderstanding.

  • The only people who worship her are desperate patients who appreciate the fact that she's one of the very few who focus on CFS. Scientists who understand the actual science think she's completely full of it.

  • Mikovitis has just been arrested on charges of stealing data. See medscape.com.

  • Judy should do what L. Ron Hubbard did.

  • If the scientific community cannot replicate your work you need to be able to explain why to the people that have given you money.

  • Girl U lying

  • Why is there such a big cover up? Especially in UK!

  • This woman is a saint. I would kiss her feet.

  • There is a video clip on here that says Human XMRV glycogag protein is 100% match with laboratory mouse strain. Is this true?

If this is true, would it not mean that this laboratory strain of virus somehow infected thousands of people? If that is true what was the method of infection...vaccine contamination??

I have had CFS for 27 years now and eveytime I received a vaccine, my condition worsened. I recommend to everyone I know to avoid most vaccines.

  • @habrass Yes this is true. The paper is in PNAS: Mouse retroviruses and chronic fatigue syndrome: Does X (or P) mark the spot?.It is speculated vaccines 'activate' latent XMRV in people already infected. How did XMRV get into humans? It is known cell lines were infected before modern safety rules and thus vaccines could have been contaminated decades ago starting the epidemic and maybe passed on by parents. This does not explain, however, how XMRV has become a human retrovirus. Bio-weapon?

  • Two minutes of undiluted Mikovits. What could be better? For 25 years ME/CFS has lacked clarity in all matters, Mikovits brings clarity to a small but important part here and the world could use more of these short topical videos.

  • The FDA MULV in CFS paper has still not been reported by the UK press. Iran, has however reported the MULV/Alter paper in the Tehran Times!!! Please note, Professor Simon Wessely is UK science press science advisor. This is yet another reason why the WPI is so important, without the WPI a country of 60 million people (UK) is censored from the truth about XMRV/MULV association in ME CFS. Thank you Judy Mikovits and WPI!

  • Alter/Lo's MULV in CFS paper has not been reported in any newspaper in the British Press or on TV. Complete news blackout on scientific research for political gain.

  • Alter explained to CFS Central in a telephone interview. “The fact that we didn’t find XMRV doesn’t bother me because we already knew that retroviruses tend to be variable. They mutate a lot, basically. This is true of HIV and HCV [hepatitis C virus]. It’s not one virus. It’s a family of viruses.” - from cfs central . com

  • On August 24, 2010 the press publicated the news that Prof. De Meirleir also has found the retrovirus in CFS-patients, and this not only in Belgian patients but in patients all over Europe.

  • @thesparklet Yes Kenny De Meirleir is due to present his positive findings of XMRV in CFS at the XMRV international conference in September. That will be 3 studies and then Judy's UK one! :)

  • hard and really see if they are there. That is why NO STUDY until now have tried to fully replicate WPI's study. Even Alter's study, as he himself addmits in the study, didn't try to replicate the WPI's study. The differenece that I see in his study is that he really examined a lot of stuff and a lot of MLV's and really tried to see if there is a connection (and found a 86.5% connection).

  • Or, as Alter said to Mindy Kitey: “Viruses tend not to be homogenous. The fact that we didn’t find XMRV doesn’t bother me because we already knew that retroviruses tend to be variable. They mutate a lot, basically. This is true of HIV and HCV [hepatitis C virus]. It’s not one virus. It’s a family of viruses".

Anyway, finally real science is happening. I firmly believe that the other studies didn't find a connection to XMRV/other MLV-related viruses, because the researchers didn't want to work

  • @omereleven : Just found this channel/page & stopping by to tell you how happy I am that you are all here discussing this disease and the complicated political agenda(s) that may exist to....? limit freedom; send propaganda?...etc.

It's good to know that we are not stupid. LoLv.

  • likely true, despite the controversy. Not only have they detected gag and envelope XMRV sequences, but they have infected prostate cell lines and recovered gamma retrovirus particles and have transmitted XMRV to rhesus macaques by the IV route and demonstrated infectivity".

And by the way, if someone understands viruses and retroviruses, it is obvoius that his study supports the Lombardi study. As Alter himself said: "We (FDA & NIH) have independently confirmed the Lombardi group findings".

  • viral nucleic acids using PCR, but also reported the detection of viral antigens, detection of anti-viral antibodies, the ability to culture the virus in a prostate cancer cell line, the detection of gamma retrovirus particles by electron microscopy, and transmission of infection to macaques" (taken from his study about MLV-related viruses in CFS patients). Or, what he said about the study in the IPFA conference: "The data in the Lombardi et al. ""Science" manuscript are extremely strong and

(which was the called "Non-A, Non-B") and lead to the identification of the Heptitis C virus. His work also lead to blood and donor screening processes, that lowered the cause of hepatitis due to this risk from 30% in 1970 to nearly zero. It's not only his research, that supports your findings, but also his words about your study: "in the study of Lomardi et al. and studies reviewed subsequently by Silverman et al. the evidence for XMRV infection in human not only involved detection of

  • Thank you Dr. Mikovits!

You are a hero, and for some reasons there are many scientists out there that thinks that if someone really cares for patients, than he's probably a bad scientist. But you now have not only your record of decades of research in the NCI - but also the support of a scientist who's record includes finding the Australian antigen (that was very important in order to first isolate the Hepatitis B virus) and found a new kind of Hepatitis (I'll conitnue in the next message)

  • Dr. Judy Mikovits is saying that XMRV is an MLV-related virus. The WPI agree that there are a family of human gamma retroviruses that are MLV-related viruses. The negative studies used a synthetic clone and not a natural isolate and more variation may exist than that specific clone.

  • The NIH (National Institutes for Health) have confirmed the findings of XMRV in people with CFS by the WPI. Sometimes samples from people that tested negative for XMRV by PCR were positive for XMRV when they looked at the family of viruses. This NIH study puts to rest the idea that contamination is involved in the findings by the WPI.

  • Go Dr. Judy!!

  • Is anyone else finding after the press the SUBSCRIBE button at the youtube WPI page, they come back to find they have been unsubscribed?

What are youtube up to? Why would youtube not want people to be educated on science and XMRV?

CFS people, check at the top of the page, if you have been unsubscribed from the WPI page, after subscribing. Thanks.

  • What a relief for all of us with ME/CFS! Thank you so much Judy Mikovits for all your work and efforts on our behalf.

  • Thank you WPI, thank you Judy, thank you dr. Lombardi, thank you Annette, thank you Andrea ... for your perseverance! Never in my life will I forget what you did for us, what you achieved, where you stuck to your guns while all odds were against you and us. You gave us hope, you keep giving us hope. I thank dr. Alter and dr. Lo too of course for their further confirming research.

Thank you for making us dream again ...

  • Thanks Dr Judy & WPI for taking the trouble in making this video for patients left in the dark by our governments around the world. Us patients really appreciate your unique support.

  • only daily Mail responded in UK.. not worth the paper it was printed on

  • many thanks on behalf of the uk cfs/me sufferers

  • 1st skirmish down... now the WAR begins... Remember we are working for the Gulf War Vets, and many others also.... "Carry ON" The Mikovits Research Center awaits YOU

  • Bravo!

  • Judy Mikovits is our hero!!!

  • Great!! If I was well enough to drink I would pop a champagne bottle open right now.

  • I'm so pleased Dr. Mikovits bravery in pursuing this work amid not a little aggro from some in the medical and media communities has been vindicated. Lets hope it is onwards and upwards for sufferers of xmrv related diseases from now on.

  • Excellent, thanks Judy! :)

  • Judy Thank you so much , you stuck to your guns I can never thank you enough x

  • Judy M rocks. :)

  • Dr Judy Mikovits just saved our lives! Thank you
