@koston777 You can get dual intakes and a full cat-back exhaust. Using full synthetics everywhere you can (like Amsoil) should help things a long.

Also with those mods snag an upRev tune.

@koston777 yeah it has 3.8 litres 348 HP, but then again, the 0-60 time is still pretty bad. The genesis coupe is actually quite ugly compare to the 350z and 370z.

I've seen 0-60 times of 4.7 sec on an 09 370 z with just the sport package so that 0-60 time is trash.

@Ry2009Ry You probably saw that from an unreliable source. Most of the reviews of the 370 with sport package show 5-5.1 second 0-60 times now unless every single car reviewer is wrong then Im not sure what to say.

@Ry2009Ry Not to mention the 370 nismo weighs a good hundred pounds or more then the sport package 370 and doesnt really gain much torque so in theory the nismo shouldnt be much faster then the sport package 370.

@burritomaker69 It weights 100lbs more but it handles a lot better then the regular 370z. Better aerodynamic and downforce = more G's and handling.

Still waiting for a turbo or supercharged version NISSAN. Dont even bother putting out a nismo version unless it has 100hp more than a base version. American muscle has raised the bar to 400hp+

I'm no expert, but supposedly it's b/c the suspension is much tighter, so it doesn't "sit-down" as much when taking off or stopping. You can tell by what they did to the Nismo that they weren't going for straight-line speed. All the mods they did point to making it faster around a track, not at a stoplight.

nismo 370z -- 0-60 in 5.3 and 60-0 in 123ft

nismo 350z -- 0-60 in 5.1 and 60-0 in 109ft

i know numbers arent everything, and thats only two catagories, but when you come out with a new model thats just not acceptable in my book

this is why i love my 93 LT1 firebird formula, it has I/E CHIP 160 STAT 3:73 's and with 121,000mi and runs consistant 13.80's not bad considering it's 18 yrs old, i'm 54 so i do keep it running like the day i picked it up(it's not a beat up tired LT1)

I'd like to buy the Nismo in a couple months. However with the specs and limited tunability for the track you could find a used 911 GT3 for just 20k more than the Nismo with full package. Pretty much you get what you pay for.

The narrator makes a good point about the Nismo not being worth the extra money. Since it was design for the track, things like memory seats, DVD & navigation screen & other electronic gadgets are not included b/c they add weight of the car. I'll take the sport package before the Nismo.

I agree about the conclusion of this road test. After driving this nismo version, it's not worth that kind of money compared to the base car at 30 grand. It is brutal to drive and almost no visibility out the back.  The roadster was more enjoyable, but at 45 grand, expensive.

If you are buying a base, then you don't need the fancy track toys. A 370Z is one of the best sportscar bargains that ca keep up with much pricier competition.
