Last night, Newton looked average. Sure, he is huge and strong, but Locker is faster, a better passer and more agile.
If Locker had played on this Auburn team, they would have been ever stronger. Newton is good, but he has talent all around him. Locker was the recipient of terrible timing, and did not even have a QB coach until Sark came 2 years ago! Ridiculous.
Willingham destroyed the program.
BTW, watch Locker in the combines. He'll bench 225 30 times easy.
I can see why Jake came back for one more year. Moments like these are absolutely priceless. It's a shame far too many young men sacrifice this...just to make a few *more* million by leaving school early for the NFL.
Jake will still make a fortune later on but he will become one of the greatest sports legends at the UW for his sacrifice and contributions.
