  • kin griffy bla bla

  • I even wanted to c tht perfect game I even wanted the tigers 2 win even though i am a Red Sox fan

  • HE

  • Baseball....America's death past time.

  • Don't you have to feel sorry for Jim Joyce?

  • GO TIGERS

  • what would've made this almost perfect game even more annoying is if the team was the cubs. (live near chicago).

  • cant pronounce any names right and you are talking about sports? And then you disrespect Detroit sports by saying you do not give a shit about them? Please do not comment on any sports because you are the fuking worst. What person who reports sports, and takes the time to make a video about them cant get anything right. Looks like you should go watch some star trek or some shit like that.

  • @dabone023 stop flaming and go outside lol. it must have taken you a while to type that paragraph basically saying nothing lol.

  • Like the vlog jon

  • What does your shirt mean by "Free For The Weekend"?

  • Gal-A-Ragg-A

  • STOP BLINKING SO MUCH

  • What I believe is that baseball should use instant replay for 3 reasons only. Playoffs, World Series, and special Regular season games like a perfect game or no hitter. Not just any regular game cause that would be to annoying. Who Likes that Idea?

Also Maybe the All Star Game.

  • ...Americas favourite pasttime..

Oh, Jon, now you made me want to watch every episode of the Microwave show...

    ...AGAIN

  • The first 28 out perfect game!

  • @Jon Actually, one of our (Detroit's) starting pitchers, Justin Verlander, pitched a perfect game a couple years ago. Of course, not that I expect you to know that...lol Just saying!

  • considering the stolen perfect game, detroit should stick to hockey

  • ya.....dam straight bad luck detroit

  • Jason Donald is HOTT! :)

  • haha the ump started crying the next game, what a goon

  • YES i honestly dont care for or watch mlb but the replay systems helps >.>

although fucking nfl refs are blind as shit

  • Please RT my VIDEO! Hey this game inspired me to write a song called "Nobody's Perfect" A tribute song for Armando Gallarraga that is about asking Bud Selig to turn the call around. Let me know what you think.

  • ...and what's a "crotchiversial" call.....like I said, your voice is excellent, but PLEASE rehearse and know how to pronounce words and names =)

  • Your delivery is good but you NEED to get names pronounced correctly----not 'Gallagher" for the sake of this [video]!!

  • . While I do agree that the call was a joke in no way do I think it should be reversed. MLB uses umpires to officiate their games, not instant replay. While instant replay can be a helpful tool in some sports, it's simply not something that is tailored to baseball in its current state. MLB either needs to commit fully to instant replay or drop it entirely.

  • god that sucked

  • Joyce was extremely sorry for missing the called. He beat himself up over it all night... was a horrible call... but none the less he realized it and made his numerous apologies and had even said he didn't blame a single person for saying anything about or to him over that call.

  • great response. watch my vids that show jim joyce's apology and the play that ruined it all

  • @2rad008 - Learn to spell words like "decipher" and "pronounce" correctly before you go calling other people retards, and moreover, before you correct their pronunciation (which apparently you pronounce incorrectly given your spelling...). While I'm at it, learn where the question mark key is, and the difference between the possessive "its" and the contraction "it's". Thanks!

  • what editing software do u use?

  • they should adopt a replay system

  • we don't follow baseball in the UK, but things happen kind of like this in football (soccer) all the time.

  • they're most be republicans that's why

  • @TheRudeboy3 hater...

  • Instant Replay, whatever. Can't see the ball on Armando's glove, so the images are inconclusive, and the ruling on the field stands. Safe.

  • bum

  • Think of it like this.. You have A million bucks and then at the last second, you lose one dollar. So now u only have $999,999. U can still say you have a million bucks if you wanted, you know? Like if you want to buy something and it costs 99 dollars and 99 cents then someone asks u how much it costs.. U would say it is 100 bucks right? Think of the perfect game being the one million dollars. He was not "officially" perfect, but he was just that far off so it really dosent make a difference

  • lol big crothchaversial call at 3:44

  • I strongly believe that ALL Official Sports should have an Instant Replay feature. This should have been the case for sports more than 10 years ago, not just in Boxing, Football, Soccer and NASCAR...

  • I personally once upon a time liked how baseball did things (HUGE Boston Red Sox fan right here!) but after this happened... I think it's inevitable that we will be seeing that in the future, because it's just ridiculous. I feel like (to some extent) they're taking it in good stride, though. It looked like, even though they aren't going to award the perfect game, that everyone is taking it like a perfect game, and sticking it to the crappy umpire, but whatev I guess it's done :(

  • Gallagher? that's hysterical

  • lol umping a clevelend indian

  • If he had completed the perfect game, it would have been the lowest number of pitches thrown since Addie Joss' 74 in 1908, and the shortest game since Sandy Koufax's perfect game in 1965

  • IM GONNA FUCKIN STAB THAT DUMB SHIT OF AN UMP

  • baseball isnt the american past time, its football, not gay soccer, american football

  • @goatman311

    Hey

    Shut up

    K thanks :)

  • Haha, look up "armando perfect game" and this is on the first page, lol

    way to go Jon

  • Sorry dude but Justin Verlander had a no hitter back in 2007 pitching for the Tigers against the Milwaukee Brewers. But yes Armando should had a perfect game too!!

  • @jg242099 no hitters and perfect games are different no hitters are no hits and perfect games are no one gettin on base at all just so ya know

  • A big consensus is that Bud Selig should overturn the call. But they also say they don't see that happening. Some have even gone as far as to say that baseball is becoming corrupt.

  • i feel sad. :'(

  • Guys, so he's not addicted to sports like you so you jump on every little mistake he makes? Who cares if he doesn't say a name right!

And Jon, i agree that they should have a replay system for more than just home runs, they argue that it would slow down baseball too much, but baseball's pretty slow anyway. Idon'tt think looking at 2 replays a game would make a huge difference

  • @steveperryfan12 I feel like most calls are obvious and there are only a few too-close-to-calls per game, so yeah it shouldn't slow down the game. But you're right, baseball is so tediously slow it's not even funny. It's the only thing I dislike about baseball, but something about never knowing just how long it's going to go is thrilling :)

  • ur a dumbass. ur talking about a guy whos name has been talked about on espn for the last two days and u still cant pronounce it. u tard

  • You haven't used the phrase "America's past time" much in your latest season of TMS. You should try to fit that in your next season. your shows are awesome!

  • Jon I Think the MLB should Adopt A Replay Challenge system. I think it will make the everybody happy

  • wat a dumbass

  • @MrVictorRatza lol, not sure why I typed lions, i guess i had something else on my mind, but i meant the tigers lol

  • are we gonna get Boston Celtics talk? I'm a Lakers fan.

  • sorry Jon but I unsubscribed, your videos are no longer interesting, and you are too arrogant.

  • Thanks to Bud Selig, tigers will not get their first perfect game in tigers history.

  • Same thing happened to Oakland's Bobby Witt in 1994... terribly blown call, runner clearly out, although this one was in the sixth inning. Witt got all other 27 batters out, even struck out 14 (Galarraga struck out 3.) They showed the replay on television of the blown call that cost Witt his perfect game, and I've never forgotten it.

  • @2rad008 - I actually said that Canseco and McGwire were behind Griffey - actually provided you with their exact positions on the HR list... but hey dude, if you want to make shit up, go ahead.

And I'm sorry if I don't know how to pronounce every player on the Tiger's starting line-up... because I don't give a shit about them.

  • @Jon 0:44 u said he is behind them but, oh well. Mistakes happen. I don't want to argue on Youtube, it seems kinda dumb. My bad and hopefully it is over with

  • Comment removed

  • @2rad008 1. retarded & 2. decipher. & 3. pronounced. ok???

  • Jon, love the segment. I'd just like to point out that Griffey played 22 seasons. Also, he left the team before the game and wasn't on hand to get his final standing ovation.

On the Perfecto* - Such a damn shame it went down as it did. I'm just going to consider it a 28 out perfect game. I do feel bad for the ump too. That guy will forever be known as the guy who fucked up a perfect game. Maybe we'll get expanded replay out of it though. One can only hope.

  • Baseball #1 4-Ever!!!

  • im not a fan of the new instant repay.its like,"hey that was a super close play!!!lets see it and see if the ump got it right!!!."but then the coaches r like,"well...i THINK my guy was safe...lets replay it over and over again and delay the game 10 min."

  • do you follow NHL? You should share your thoughts on the Blackhawks and Flyers in the Finals.

  • I think Bud Selig should recognize the game as a perfect game. Who's going to be pissed about that? The umpire admitted he was wrong and everyone else knows the guy was out. Everyone's happy, it will just be another weird baseball story.

  • I'm for instant replay in baseball. Forget sentimentality. Forget the human element of umpiring. It should be about getting the call right, pure and simple, nothing more. He's out or he's safe. Its not an opinion, its a fact, and MLB should utilize the technologies available to make sure they get it right every time.

  • I feel bad for both parties. I feel the ump is really sincerely sorry. Baseball has it's place in US, but it is falling out. Honestly, I think the decision should be overturned, but there probably is no way to do it...it just adds to fans and semi-fans not wanting to watch and attend baseball. Soccer will take it's place in due time. Also, it's hard to drink booze every night (as baseball players do) and run for 90 minutes.

  • dude if no ones like sports their not gunna watch ur video,so why are u explaining

  • about your question in the annotations... they actually do have an instant replay... they actually just started using it this season... but i guess he just didn't use it

  • @StandAlone3 you're partially right, last year they started instant replay, but for ONLY controversial homeruns. They haven't made it for out/safe calls on the bases yet so they couldn't have reviewed this play if they wanted to.

  • @voomvoompartystarter yeah, I looked it up... I was wrong, but It seems there is still a way that they could have been able to make a call here using it in this particular instance... Oh well... I feel bad for the Lions, but there's nothing anyone can do at this point.

  • well, here's how I see it:

the dude admitted, and apologized, so essentially, everyone knows that it was a perfect game, so i think armando galarraga should be known for this perfect game. put it in writing in the reports: "umpire called this, but later admitted incorrect call, and recognizes perfect game" or something like that

  • But today they bought him a corvette!

  • The biggest bullshit of this whole thing is that Bud Selig said he will NOT overturn the call and give Galarraga the perfect game he deserves. Way to further piss everyone off, you ancient lump of shit.

  • To anyone who says that the rules won’t allow the call to be changed, I have two words for you: PINE TAR.

This is a perfect lesson for today’s kids. Nobody’s perfect and not everybody gets a trophy, but you can admit when you make a mistake and be gracious when you’re aggrieved.

  • I'd be worried if I were Jim Joyce and I had to ump a game either in Detroit or any Tigers away game, for fear of what some crazed Tigers aficionado might try to pull. I'm more of a Chicago Cubs guy myself, but I could see where he could've stepped on EVERYONE'S toes with that call. Kudos to Galarraga for not charging home plate after that shite went down.

  • @atraxos bad news is that he was the home plate umpire in tonight's game

  • Guy who made the call was crying afterwards because he took away the persons perfect game

  • altough baseball is nasty.. i think football has taken over as Americas past time haha

  • I think EVERY major sport league should have challenge system like the NFL has

  • Can you talk about crocs in one of your videos? I've actually heard that some people have claimed to actually get caught on the escalators because of crocs, heres an idea, they should pick their feet up!

  • @electricmastro I have a better idea, they should wear some actual shoes when they leave the house and not shower shoes.

  • baseball may be Americas fav pass time but its not in canada here its all hockey baby

  • f#&k yes, the mlb needs instant replay. if they had it, this would be the THIRD perfect game this season. It would've taken five seconds, and galarraga would've become instantly heroic. they need this, NOW!!!!

  • Ken Griffy Jr. coming back, im in seattle, got the news already... well im watching it now...

  • its 22 MLB seasons dumb ass

  • Didn't Gary Coleman just retire from baseball or something?

  • @BackwardsT dude first of all, gary colman died a couple of days ago. second, he was an actor. get your facts straight.

  • yes they should be able to challenge... this guy totally deserves his perfect game and it's not fair to him (and I don't care about detroit baseball at all, I'm a yankee fan...). If the ump admitted he made a bad call, he should get the record

  • baseball is americas favorite sport?

just another reason to hate america ( not americans ) ( not alll of it )

( the mega holy golden simian )

  • I don't like how you made it seem like the umpire just said "sorry blew your perfect game"

    He did a lot more

  • Jon, how do you have all your hair? I do image editing and I often end up pulling out copious amounts of mine.

  • good video john and i was just wondering what software do you use for the title and ending screen and how much does it cost cause i would like that software for my videos

  • I can't believe they might not reverse the call!! He deserves the perfect game!!

    BTW: it's jose reyes

  • Dallas Breton pitched a perfect game for the A's

  • Then they gave the guy a new car.

  • Mexico-2 1-Italy

  • @MrMickel11 HELL YEAH :D

  • Oh crap. /facepalm. I accidentally clicked "dislike". :(

  • @ckool5000

its all your fault that there are 17 dislikes now. John is going to be emo now knowing there are 17 people that 'dislike' him. He could have coped with 16, but 17 pushed him over the edge!

  • @goobervongoober Oh noooooo! What've I done?

  • So technically he did get a perfect game they should just announce it

  • Funny how my name is Armando.

  • Funny how my name is Armando.

  • Funny how my name is Armando.

  • My math teacher was just telling us this today...

  • As a person living in Michigan and a Tigers fan, I'm pissed. I would be more mad but in Michigan, we're used to losing stuff.

  • has anybody ever said that you seem about a decade older than you are?

  • mariners are my fav mlb team and i live in seattle and griffy was my fav player i was sad when he retired

  • YES !!!!

  • it shouldn't be like the NFL but rather when its close they should check the replay, more like the NHL

  • SEATTLE MARINERS FTW!

  • i feel sad for the umpire

  • baseballs sucks. Its boring to play, even more boring to watch and nobody ever wants to pick up a baseball videogame... because it sucks

  • GA-LA-RA-GA/GAH-LAH-RAH-GAH

  • GA-LA-RA-GA/GAH-LAH-RAH-GAH

  • What is going on in baseball to have 'nearly' 3 perfect games in a season? Previously in 500,000+ MLBaseball games in the modern era there were only 18.. and now nearly 2 in a week? All be it, the Galarraga game only had 3 strike out, its saying alot about the defence behind him too.

  • To the replay thinggy, HELL YEAH!!!

  • Get the dang replay! please

  • @CTthaBoss ESPN loves they copywrite

  • Hell yeah I think the MLB should adopt video playback! In a game where seconds/inches count, why the hell wouldn't they?!

  • @mackysplace FYI basketball and baseball, behind soccer, are some of the world's most popular sports and many countries have professional teams of both, so you shouldn't go trash a sport, or a country for that matter, if you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @WookieesGoneWild not really about base ball

  • after each play if the player requests then they should play the clip because I play baseball and on tuesday I touched 2nd and the ump was like 12. I was so pissed. I got a game in an hour.

  • 22 bitchs

  • huh

  • well i thought it was foot ball. chinese have a baseball team, but they don't have football team!

  • i think that if you want a PERFECT GAME you need to do it like Doc Ellis.

  • Isnt baseball just a butched up version of the traditional woman's sport rounders?

Lets face it, American sports make no sense except hockey which is British and you're pretty much the only countries to play them in any proffesional state.

  • @mackysplace Explain Cricket to me.

  • yes, absolutly

  • America's? Just from EUA, on central and south america the favorite sport is futball, so keep it true.

  • @mangekyuoamaterasu hey nobody cares about soccer or "futball" its stupid

  • @darkmosher And the NBA, NFL and Baseball is for fags

  • Jon I think the Tigers have gotten a perfect game before this.

  • 3 times in a month? damn, thats a big thing for steroid free players!

  • 3 times in a month? damn, thats a big thing for steroid free players!

  • eww sports sry

  • dude plz stop saying game i lost the game urrgghhh

  • I was so mad when this happened but i heard on the news 2day the mlb commisioner might over rule that call he just needs a precession

  • halladay recently did pitch a perfect game

  • @Ballers4Rele like u

  • oh yeah armando galarraga is from venezuela go armando im from venezuela too

  • Hah, get owned by Cleveland :D. ^_^

  • One of the WORST calls in baseball history and it's pronounced GAH-LUH-RAH-GUH.

  • I'm a Cleveland Indians fan, but damn, they really suck this season.

  • ur dumb

  • a perfect game also guarantees you a spot in the hall of fame

  • I'm from Detroit :(

  • detroit is the motor city, which is failing, and we have shitty air. yeah that would have been great

  • ROY HOLLADAY PERFECT GAME

  • And this is just great, Bud Selig decides not to reverse the call.

  • KILL THE UMPIRE! the guy was obviously out yet he called it safe! i mean he was out out out out out!

  • MLB needs instant replay. Im tired of all the bullshit calls.

  • @HardRock2Day THEY HAVE INSTANT REPLAY!!!!!

  • KILL THE UMPIRE! the guy was obviously out yet he called it safe! i mean he was out out out out out!

  • Thats why Baseball need CHALLENGE like in football,

Just give Armando the recognition of Perfect Game before whole Detroit will be searching for the old-ass umpire. Yes I live in Michigan

  • @Whutnow60 WHAT DA ****

  • @Whutnow60 WHAT THE (please add word here)

  • I'm kinda glad that Griffey's retiring. We spent God knows how much money on bringing him home to Cincy, he was mediocre at best. His first run in Seattle was his best. As far as that perfect game goes...OMG....I think it's such BS, and Selig just announced he's not gonna reverse the call. MLB's gonna look at instant replay now..

  • I'm kinda glad that Griffey's retiring. We spent God knows how much money on bringing him home to Cincy, he was mediocre at best. His first run in Seattle was his best. • Umping

    lol

  • i bet if jim joyce lives in the Detroit area, he'll be dead in a couple days.

  • @AntVenom you're probably right. we Detroiters are quite vindictive. We have nothing as far as good sports teams go except for the Red Wings. It's been so long since the Tigers have done anything good, it would have been huge. I hate sports, especially baseball and i'm pretty pissed about this hahaha
