@bucky341 UFOlogy is a belief for those who don't think that early, " Primitive " man was advanced enough to discover new things or arrive at new ideas, etc., on their own without the aid of benevolent extra - terrestrials. Some people also believe that giant megalithic / monolithic monuments such as the pyramids of the Giza Plateau in Egypt & similar monuments in Central & South America, & also like Stonehenge were constructed by extra - terrestrials. And just to add my thoughts, in if I may, on the idea that Buddhism is a sort of antithesis to Christ. I'm no expert on either schools of thought. I've studied both and can appreciate both. I've come to the conclusion that Christ is strikingly similar to Buddha and Krishna. When it all boils down, universal love is what they spoke of. Dogmas were added later.

Still, in the end for me it's our behavior that is far more important than individual belief. If people addressed their behavior first & then their beliefs, I think history may have been a little more humane.

As to the question, if aliens are necessarily maleficent, as is the most commonly propagated belief, I'd say no, not at all. This is similar to the question: "Are strangers always strange?" -- Obviously not. these old paintings are depicting spiritual auras (around the buddha heads), either exuding light bright spirit , faint light, or dark spirit. the dark spirit would be evil, or light obscured. the brightest would denote good spirit light.

The figures flying in the air would be spirits in the air.

this does relate to the biblical fallen angels/ elohim but also depending on their brightness, may denote the pure angels/ elohim still loyal to the Creator God.

I.e, that these beings could well be the watchers described in the Book of 1 Enoch and are not here to help us, but to deceive us, and to lead us to damnation by denying God, Jesus Christ and the gospel of his kingdom.

No, I never considered that since Genesis predates the Catholic church by 1500 years. I'd be interested in seeing a word study by a reputable Hebrew scholar showing Elohim to mean anything related to the sky since from what I can tell w/ my lexicons, it is unrelated to any Hebrew words for either sky' or 'heavens'.

It's an interesting point to consider though since God is understood to rule from heaven. I know Satan is called "prince of the power of the air" in our Scripture.

Interesting. This is exactly what was happening in the days of Noah (Gen 6, Jude, and The Book of 1 Enoch). There was ET/human intermarriage in our past, but the ETs were fallen angels, not space brothers. Christ warned that as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of his return. It's happening again w/ abductees and unnatural insemination.

BTW, as a person who sees the connection between the pantheon of gods and ETs, you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy of 1 Enoch. Traditional scholarship consensus is that it is an apocryphal book, but I think it is genuine and was orally passed down amongst the Hebrews and considered by them as inspired, It's quoted by Jude in the NT and phrases it contains are used by Jesus.
