  • no you wrong...

i like that video, but the closest finish ever was

Monza1971 - Peter Gethin vs Ronnie Peterson in 0,010

and the second was 2002 USA...

    you can prove it...

  • Peter Gethin won at Monza 1971 - 0.5 seconds between 5 cars.

  • so... who won? :P

  • Senna

  • @BritishWizard haha that's the funniest part of the video. its like a really mean teaser

  • 1971 Monza?

  • It WAS the closest ever F1 finish margin, until USA 2002...

  • yes thats true, but that was fake, Barrichello and schumacher staged that! And schumacher fucked it up by slowing down too much.

  • I agree... but nevertheless, fact is fact... (too bad :/)

  • No it wasn't, the closest ever finish was in the Italian grand prix of 1971 where the gap between first and second was just 0.01 second.

However, obviously the timing wasn't as good back then so it may not have been that close but that's what the official timing says. Also in that race there was just a 0.6 second gap between 1st and 5th as they crossed the line!

  • just wow. Too bad nothing like that has happened in the modern day, would like to see that!
