That makes no sense. How can the crust being drawn into the mantle by subduction be older than the pieces of crust that are riding over this process? Mass and energy are the same thing, so an increase in one would lead to a decrease in the other. If anything the earth should be losing mass caused by the radioactive decay occuring inside. It's this process, convection, which drives the plates together (or apart) as they fall away from mantle plumes to mantle 'wells'.
Listen to the evidence that he is talking about. The distribution of fossils: It is easier to explain why the same species are found in africa and south america if they were together, but how about australia and south america, also the same fossils of the same age. The same is true for india and australia, india and arfica. Doesn't make any sense. How is it possible? We can look at the oceanic age map and see that the age of the ocean floor everywhere we look is no older then about 180M years.
Okay, i'm gonna need you to elaborate a little bit more on your points to fullly understand what you mean. Specifically, the part where you mention asutralia india and africa and fossil age. The ocean is only 180m years old becasue the ocean floors are heavy and composed of a less booyant composition and therefore go through a much smaller life cycle before they are recycled into the depths of the earth. The real history is in the crust it has an older life.
Sea floor is from 180 m.y.a. and no older That CANT BE TRUE I mean......... If that was true it would suggest it was not there 180 m.y.a. So was the earth smaller? Dont be silly If the earth was smaller about 200 million years ago we would know. Would we? (Cue freaky Music) No BECAUSE WE ARE ALL DUMB AND THE MORE WE THINK WE KNOW THE LESS WE REALLY KNOW
the Pangea theory says that between australia and south america was a wide stretched ocean. How can they have matching fossils of the same age as the matching fossils of south america and africa? Well they couldn't, according to plate tectonics. How can the ocean bottom have the same age? It couldn't have. If you look at the evidence all continents fit together on the other side of the planet as well.
When he starts playing with the clay he gets it right. The continental crust is connected to the oceanic crust, so it can not move around. When all continents are attached to the onean floor they can not move around.
Why does the continental crust only cover 40% of the Earths surface? Isn't it reasonable to assume that it once covered the entire earth? Then maybe it subducted? A few years ago that was the theory, but today no geologist would say that. They know it is impossible.
The magma under the continents is twice as dense as the granit, so it can't subduct. But despite this fact, extra pieces of continent has been added to make the Pangea model work. Look at a map of Pangea on wikipedia and you will see extra continent between africa and south america and on many other places. Unexplainable. But they need it to make the continents fit. If you try to make the africa and SA fit on an earth size globe there will be a 25 degrees mismatch.
But if we look at the plate boundries between oceanic crust, maybe they can subduct. Lets look at the oceanic age map again. At all plate there is new ocean. In a subduction zone the ocean bottom should be older then the surroundings, but it's not. But can the ocean floor subduct under the continents. Again, he got the clay right. The ocean bottom is connected to the continents.
At the ocean ridges (spreadzones) we can see perpendicular cracks.
This tells us that the ocean floor is spreading in both longitudal and latitudal direction.
Where does it all point?
At one possible theory. Earth is growing, exponentially from the inside.
Nikola Tesla proved this, but he was a nut right?. "I have established by experiments which admit of no doubt that the sun and other celestial bodies steadily increase in mass and energy"
All continents fit like an eggshell on a smaller Earth.

does anyone know how old is the crust beneath the black sea?

isnt it frustrating when people cannot see it.
And wont it be one hell of a story when the penny drops!!!!

It will be a freakin step in evolution.
Everyone will say, aah, that's why.
Was it always this easy?
Aah, dinosaurs were big because of low gravity, of course.
