Most of the horses I ride are the ones I trained before my accident. So usally I can just cluck to them and they will trot. I have been competing in ranch horse trail classes. I can compete pretty good at it
Do you compete in anything with your horse? What commands or aids do you use to get your horse moving and transition from a walk to a trot? I'm usin' a crop right now with limited success.
I really loved seeing you and your superb horse. I wish I could bring my horse to you so that we could have lessons! I bet you are a great teacher. Say hi to your Dad. I've often wished that I had a seat belt on my saddle ..
THat's awesome.. You own that beautiful ranch yourself? It seems like such a peaceful refuge. Great contraption that your father made. I'm impressed that he invented that himself. Looks like fun..
Your my hero Nick, I envy you more than you could possibly imagine. Your parents have a lot to be proud of, obviously they raised you right.
I would give anything for just one more ride, it's been 8 1/2 years for me know and I'm still in the exact same place that I started, wish I could get whatever it is that you have because I certainly do not have it.
Great video Nick! I really love how you took the time to make this video and show everyone how your saddle is made! You have a really good mare there that listens really well it seems! I can't wait to ride again too! I'm a t-11/12 para so it shouldn't be too bad since I have some balance but haven't got around to riding again YET! I'm still curious on how you get mounted into the saddle? I'm sure you have help but do you just transfer from a platform or do you have some type of lift or combo?
This is great. Do you know about independent strides . com? I have a friend who might try it.

That is pretty cool! If you don't mind me asking how do you mount/dismount your horse?
