Ween - Stay Forever

my favourite ween song. also the first i ever heard. obviously things like 'help me scrape the mucus off my brain' make me laugh my ass off, but on those rare occasions they write sincere songs (although 'stay forever' is almost certainly an elaborate parody of something i've not clocked yet, much like 'baby bitch' is an eerily close foretelling of what much of elliott smith's work would sound like) they're more often than not absolute heartbreakers.....'what deaner was talking about' as well...

This was the first ween song I ever heard. They did such a good job I thought it was serious. This was "our song" then I realized she didn't like me and I was a crazy stalker. Now, it all makes sense and I look back and laugh.

Ween is amazing. They started off with batshit insane and silly albums like "The Pod" and "God Ween Satan: The Oneness" from a decade prior and led up to "White Pepper," a 70's radio staple tribute album. This song is absolutely true MOR radio, and coming from a band whose first song off their first album was titled "You Fucked Up," it's quite a pleasant mindscrew ;-)

@paulodooby Get Chocolate and Cheese for diversity.That thing is amazing.Most of the more recent albums are kinda themed.12 Golden Country Greats is or was 10 country songs (mostly hilarious parodies) The Mollusk and White Pepper are great standalone albums.Painting the Town Brown is a great live album.The DVD is a must for any fans.Ween are very very gifted AND extremely funny.. The early albums are batshit crazy. :)

What really makes me feel like the human race is lost is people would rather listen to pitch corrected absolute garbage rather than the genius which Ween has exuded since the mid-80's. @manmanguy There has always been a lot of garbage that people have accepted with open arms, more so now than ever. But the youth has not been completely brainwashed as I and other people my age (17ish) do not accept that popular music today is good or even has a shred of talent put into it. People will like whatever makes them happy; even if it means listening to a song that's lyrics consist of only three words.
