wow...these wushu guys are not that great. it seems as though they can only do a small amount of moves and their speed and execution of the moves is very slow. however their slowness is most likely because some are slighlty overwieght and their old. i did wushu for 1 year to increase my abilities but its not a martial art for fighting since its mostly preformed in contests. if you want to fight pick tae kwon do, karate, ju jitsu or something else

Jet Li did chinese wushu since he was a child along with some other martial arts. He has been a wushu champion too. Check out his website and you'll finally understand. Its just that most wushu schools today has become too much a sport and focuses on winning competitions. Some schools somehow are loosing grip on martial principles.

Me too at first. I never used to know his martial art till I read his essays and biography in his website. It was only then that I found out Fanziquan is part of Changquan which is also part of wushu. Check out his wushu video. hehehe. Jet Li was only a young kid then competing using Fanziquan. hehehe.
