  • Just wanted to tell you my wife and I really enjoy watching your videos. Your family is very talanted. Thanks for posting them. Best wishes and God Bless from ky.

  • This really is a great rendition of this song. I bet you guys could our socks off with your rendition of "Where The Roses Never Fade". Thanks for sharing.

  • Great Singers Very Blessed with Beautiful Voices.

  • Ahhhh, sooo this is what bluegrass sounds like, huh? I LIKE! AWWWH, this is great! an entire FAMILY! :'-) Praise God! Jesus gives all of us great talents, it's up to us whether we choose to bless Him in return with it. This is great! Glory to God!

  • @Purity03 This particular selection is probably closer to traditional Southern Gospel than bluegrass, but the harmonies of bluegrass and Southern Gospel are similar. I agree that everyone's talents come from Jesus and God. The two younger ladies you see here are two of our daughters. They are both married now, and I am happy to say that they both still attend church regularly, as do my wife and I.

  • @mrgreer51 THATS GREAT! Praise the Lord and Im very happy for you and your family! I didn't know much about bluegrass music, my best friend was talking to me about it and told me to check it out, so wats the biggest difference between southern gospel and bluegrass? I don't really know much about bluegrass.

  • This is like my fav bluegrass song of all time Thanks :) sounded wonderful

  • This is a great gospel song, I love it. Do you have it on a CD?

  • @ThePostman65 We do not have this on CD. Doyle Lawson does, and his version is fantastic.

  • Praise the Good Lord! I get a blessing out of this everytime I hear it. Family Harmony can't be beat.

  • great job,god bless ye all

  • I feel closer to God listening to you all than any tele evangelist.

  • @Winterstick549 I'm glad. Plus, we don't ask for money. Just give your money to your local church.

  • @mrgreer51 Can I donate some strings? ;)

  • Very nice music. So touching... It has a different power... Makes me feel optimistic and alive!! Mister mr.greer51 after watching your videos I understood that country music is my favorite. Unfortunately, the distance will never give me the oportunity to wade into this music. But I play balkan bagpipe, which is a rather wonderfull instrument! Best wishes from Greece!

  • You have much fans in Brazil. God blesse your family.

  • Thank you for uploading this beautiful music. As a fellow baptist and musician, your music has touched me. I was literally moved to tears in listening to this. There's a great genuine spirit of joy emanating from this performance, and all of your family's performances that I've watched. May the Lord bless you and your family.

  • greetings from Bosnia

  • Stumbled upon your music while searching for some new country guitar licks, and i must say this song really has stuck in my head! The ladies hamonize beautifully! Haven't seen Molly in any of your more recent vids, i hope she is still involved with music to some degree, God Bless you and your family!

  • I'm a Church of God boy my self good sir, but that's a good song. i'm sure God's appreciating the praising you're giving him

  • und da sind die schönen mädels wieder wie toll ihr doch singen könnt

  • das ist echt cool ihr könnt gleich ne private bänd sein

  • the reason that i asked is that i am pentecostal and always heard this song sung at my church.

  • @southavendanny We are basically the only ones who sing these kinds of songs at our church. As a congregation, we sing hymns or the contemporary stuff you might hear on the radio. Everyone likes what we do, however.

  • you guys sing very well. i was just wondering what church you guys attend. love your singing

  • @southavendanny The two girls are married, and attend church with their husbands now. At the time of this video, we attended a local Baptist church. My wife and I are still active members there.

  • @mrgreer51 i LOVE your music... but god is a myth

  • @lelkish Thanks. I believe that God is real, but I don't really want to argue about it.

  • foarte fain , felicitari din romania

  • That was good and God bless you all.

  • Wow!! Your a great bunch!!! If I could a commet? If ya just had a accordian!!

  • @Jthetinman Yeah, I've been wanting to learn how to play one of those Cajun accordions.

  • @mrgreer51

I do play the accordion (and piano, organ etc), but in my opinion friend, you guys have something magical there just the way it is. That harmony is spot on. That bass is spot on. Your guitar is spot on. The other gal playing the fiddle in some of the other videos, she is spot on too. You guys don't need an accordion at all, you shine just the way you are. Keep playing that great ole music my man.

Happy Holidays to you and your family!

  • WoW .. another favorite and so sweet voices

wonderful -i love it ... Be blessed ..

    regards .. bro. Ernesto ...

  • Wow, Eileen, Emily and Molly sure can sing and Phil you're a great guitarist and vocalist yourself. I love listening to you and your family. Bless all of you.

  • @rgcountry Thanks!

  • Class. Not exactly the kind of music I listen to, but I am really getting into it. I first saw you with Emily playing Dueling Banjos, so I checked out some of your other vidoes, glad I did. One other thing Mr Greer you have two beautiful daughters.

  • @poshea2006 This kind of music isn't for everyone, but it is fun to work out the harmonies and have things come together.

  • Family harmony is the best there is. It can't be duplicated. Great videos. Thank you for posting. I love family groups and you all do a great job. Keep up the good work.

  • God bless you ^^

  • Absolutely wonderful!!

    5 stars!

  • OMGosh, you guys are awesome. Love the quartet harmony. I belong to a small country church and I grew up on songs like this. Thanks so much.

  • OK Mr Greer, who sings melody, who's on upper harmony and who takes lower harmony?

  • Bass player (Molly) sings lead, Emily (in back) sings tenor, Eileen (White Sweatshirt) sings low harmony. The part Molly sings on the chorus is written as bass in the hymnal.

  • I wish I could have a new life playing along with your family!!!

Great version. Great harmonies. Love it!!

  • I love this song. Keep up the good work.

  • cool video. I like you guys. tom

  • Awsom ^^

  • Great catchy song guys.

  • Lovely harmony!

  • Does anyone know - FOR SURE - the authorship of this song? Sources differ, I have seen it attributed to at least three different individuals. In any case, youse guys' version is WONDERFUL!

  • I always thought it was Albert E Brumley, but when I looked it up, I found it attributed to Luther G Presley in 1940.

  • I have seen it attributed to Presley (who also claimed to have written the lyrics to "When the Saints Go Marching In"), to Hank Williams (probably because the annotater simply assumed that, having sung it, he had written it), and to Marian Williams, so with Brumley, that makes four possibilities. It's a terrific song in any case!

  • @monaleisure Luther G. Presley wrote the song. And the publisher is Bridge Building Music.

  • Simply wonderful!!!!!!!

  • j'adore, vous chantez divinement bien;Etes-vous une famille? You are.........................Mervellous

    Xave le Frenchie

  • This was my grandpa's favorite song. My family had it inscribed on his headstone. He passed away before I was born so I never got the opportunity to meet him but this makes me think of him whenever I hear it. My mom has a recording of him singing and playing the fiddle. • Hi, Can you e-mail me the lyrics on this song so I can sing it for my small church in Southern Illinois? This is different than Hank Williams version that I pulled off the net. I love this song. It helps me learn some Bluegrass gospel and my patients love it! You and the girls are good role models in technique!

  • I love this song. Super job.

  • Why do they call it "The Million Word Song?"

  • When we first tried to learn it, it seemed like there were a million words to memorize.

  • You folks always make me smile! Wonderful harmony.

  • When I was 16 in 1978 during the disco craze which I was part of, I used to play this song off a vinyl LP I had from the Blackwood Brothers. My aunt and uncle were retired Assembly of God Ministers and had bought me this LP. I consider myself more Catholic but was also raised in the A of God church too.
