  • This was goods ow

  • If he Kidnapped that Garage Band to be his musical slaves than he has bad taste in music.

  • This just explained the record business ie P Diddy& Bad Boy Entertainment

  • Loved this show as a kid but as soon as they started singing, I was outta there!

  • Time Machine! NOW!

  • Ah, only Glitter could make bad 80's leg warmers look that cute...

  • As the 80s started to go into the 90s some producers were misguided. They tought just because shows like this were successful (Captain N too) that kids wanted reality. I feel like kids liked Kidd Video as much as they did because it was a cartoon a majority of the time. The intro even says what kids wanted "We're cartoons!" There was shock in the story line, but kids think cartoons are cool. Well, not today.. today my own 8 year old nephew says cartoons are stupid and watches my old VHS tapes

  • I get such an intense feeling of nostalgia watching these. The 80s truly knew what kids liked, while also treating kids with a sense of maturity in story telling unlike what they get today. Tension between Megatron & Starscream was real, the maturity of Robotech didn't have to go to PG-13 or more adult levels like some situations get in newer shows today (Superman & Batman cartoons are ridiculous), and the imagination of Kidd Video was awesome. Writers were just smarter and classier in the 80s.

  • I remember in middle the 80's i wake up at 5:00 or 6:00 in the morning the saturdays and see all kind of cartoons!!!!....Believe me!!...I really miss that years...a lot!!

  • BAD RATIO, 3 DUDES AND ONE CHICK

  • I GET CHILLS down my spine after watching these classic cartoons intro. i NEVER do my homework. I watch cartoons first then home work last. I miss the 80s and 90s as a kid. I feel sorry for today's kids that have to watch dumb ass crappy cartoons today.

  • This show was axed after two seasons to be to be replaced by live action teen sitcoms. Most Saturday morning shows ever broadcast are axed without a proper ending. This is just one of them.

  • From what I can remember, this series never resolved,Wouldn't it be funny if they did a revamp where they came back to present day? 'Itunes? I tune to what?"

  • @elcucuyfeo Thats an awesome idea!!! Get to work.

  • ... now you know how itunes are evil

  • Wow this brings back memories.. Saturday mornings in the 80's were the best. I miss being a kid sometimes..

  • the 80's.......wow

  • DAMMIT THATS IT IM BUILDING A TIME MACHINE< AND ALL OF YOU WILL BE MY MUSICAL SLAVES FOREVER!!!!!! AHHH HAHAHAA

  • the teenaged girl's (i believe her name was Carla or Glitter) cartoon form was really pretty. so did Lady Lovelylocks, Jem, Cleo, Ms. Pac-Man, Princess Sparkle and Princess Toadstool's cartoon counterpart.

  • My gosh, I was a senior in HS when this came out. I loved it. Though I always has an unhealthy debate in my head about who hotter- Carla or Glitter....

    Nice memories.

  • I like how the subaru transformed into a spaceship.

  • Brady Bunch's "Oliver" finally reeems himself

  • Wow what a flashback, I totally forgot about this show!

  • duuuuude ive been looking for this 4 ever THHHHHHHANK YOU

  • 0:16 which seat can I take? 3:

  • I wish they'd put these out on DVD. Man, the good shows never get any respect.

  • @Ickiesgal The problem would be copyright for the music videos.

  • There was one episode where they got chased by a giant teddy bear that freaked the hell out of me as a kid. Chick is '80s hot.

  • it´s gettin´me rockin´its gettin´movin´ ouh ouh dude that´s the best part

  • I never understood the premise for the show but, as a kid it was a little entertaining and cheesy

  • @ac30165 Think Dungeon and Dragons with music videos and rock and role.

  • Good lord....this is what I call vintage. They just don't make em like they use to, huh?

  • There are kids now who admit it....presumably NOT hopped up on the same sugary cereal.

  • "you will

  • This show used to come on right after Transformers where I lived.

  • Oh my God,did we really watch stuff like this?!The fuckin 80's man.Lol.

  • haha I remember this show thought nobody else on the planet ever saw it i was beginning to think maybe it never happened lol the theme song especially funniest thing how it's called the flip side haha

  • wow I have been looking for this for years! thanks this is quite awesome!!

  • This has an important message about the over-commercialization of music. Don't be anybody's musical slave! Keep it live in the garage, son.

  • OH MY GOSH! I can't believe it - I've found it at last!*jumps up and down like a jackhammer* I loved that show when I was a kid! Thanks a bunch for uploading!

  • @Gummibaerchen12345 Same here! Sometimes its hard to believe it all really happened.

  • Will there ever be anything as good as a 1980's saturday morning? It ruined me for life.

  • @dragonfire836 Amen! I can remember what my schedule was each saturday morning....Wake up at 6:00 and eat breakfast...usually some sort of sweet cereal and then watch 6 hours of toons Like Kidd Video and then have lunch and out side to play by noon.

  • @dragonfire836 The Specatular Spiderman series was pretty good.

  • I love this cartoon is on DVD and how many seasons did run till when was on NBC4 and were is this band now and they should come back becauses I am there fan From Edwin Laino

  • I thought this was really aweful and really gay when I was a kid, but then I saw Justin Beaver "perform" on the Grammys. BRING BACK KID VIDEO!!

  • carla was soo freakin' hot!!! eat your heart out jlo.

  • Kidd is totally channeling Sting before he becomes a cartoon.

  • Was that Robbie Rist ?

  • I completely forgot about the total lack of premise and backstory on this show! "I'm taking you to the FLIPSIDE! Why? Because FUCK YOU kids, that's why!" I don't ever remember them actually quantifying it any further. Then again we were kids and that whole plot made perfect sense at the time.

  • @pyrotechc3h8 Master Blaster the main bad guy was stealing music or artists from our dimension and use that to make The Copycats (his created fake band) popular. The early episodes explained this.

  • I liked how odd the flip side was...

  • This cartoon intro rocked back in the day!!!!

    EIGHTIES FOREVER!!!!!!!

  • 0:15 "No I'm not going to sit with you Nerd. I'll take my chances in the back seat."

  • @DJTripleThreat78: Except a Subaru Brat was made for that. Seats were molded into the bed.

  • 80's Cartoons were the best and the ones today just totally suck.

  • @jholttn No, the 80's cartoons sucked too, we were just to hyped up on sugar coated breakfast cereals that we we never noticed.

  • @pyrotechc3h8

Let me give you some proof of how wrong you are

    watch?v=Y-sOaUAgbB4

    watch?v=fxQagE62_zI

    watch?v=mzAQu23t19A

    watch?v=M_RdPawsqgo

You probably just deny how superior these are anyway, but hey, the links are not for you their for the general audience.

  • i loved this cartoon as a kid and that was a short 20 years ago

  • @cathrope You mean 21 fast years ago.

  • What the hell is Danny Devito doing in the flip side?

  • the fairy is warring leg warmers and a collarless shirt. Yep; this is either a bad trip, the eighties, or a unique combination of both.

  • Loved this cartoon!!!!

  • It's Funny, about three month ago, I was in a club in New York in the back of this new club that open up, talking to a friend of mine and just to waste some time before I had to DJ there we were talking about 80's stuff and for some reason this cartoon pop in my head, but I didn't remember the name. Now here on Youtube, three months later, I found the cartoon. It's a small world after all. LOL. /(*_*)\

  • I SOOOOOO had a crush on Carla and the fairy !!!

  • 0:17 -holy crap! is that Corky? since when'd they let him drive?

  • @phoenixicarus

Nope, it's Cousin Oliver from The Brady Bunch! No, really!

  • @Pennyforth Yeah, it is Cousin Oliver from the Brady Bunch 10 years later.

  • @Pennyforth He was 20 years old during the show Kidd Video.

  • I liked the intro song better than the cartoon . . . !

  • OMG....I can't believe I remember this....lol

See, that's what you get when you're always checking yourself out in the mirror! Some random guy decides to kidnap you.

  • I used to watch this every Saturday morn. Thanks for the upload.

  • Yikes!!! No offense to anyone who likes it but I am left wondering what I ever saw in this.

  • @MrTripp1977 The draw was there due to the popularity of music videos in the 80's.. The toon screams 80s from the music to the fairy's leg warmers and cut off shirt. The 80's were definitely the best time for cartoons!

  • Wow!!! mad props for postin' this! This is total 80's classic & every time I see ppl post 80's cartoon classics, they ALWAYS seem to miss this one. Thank you for postin', it makes me nostalgic, thinkin' of when watchin' Saturday morning cartoons was the best! :o)

  • I used to watch this so much.

  • Shit! I used to watch this all the time as a kid!

  • @snootzie78 Me to what was i thinking!

  • Notice how they make the black chick white in the cartoon.. ah sweet 80's racism.

  • @DJTripleThreat78 Yeah, I noticed that too!

  • @SunnuAkkad Looking back I think she might have been mixed or latina but still minorities were a no-no. Thats a shame but at least that is one thing that has changed since then.

  • This was a top favorite cartoon when I was a kid. YouTube is awesome, I never thought I'd see it again. When I was a kid, the lead singer was hot....now...not sooo much ;P

  • I remember this! That was Saturday morning TV!

  • sigh, miss this cartoon :-P

  • My top 80's cartoon THEME SONGS (not necessarily shows)... Inspector Gadget, Ghostbusters, Muppet Babies, Beverly Hills Teens, Thundercats, Kidd Video (honorable mention to Tailspin & Rescue Rangers, i think thats 80s ) there are others

  • bringin' me back, dog.

  • mr keep the lights on you are the sheeeiiiit !!!!!

  • @KiddJetix It would be nothing but rap music .

  • @mwillblade

Or crappy pop diva stuff. Carla would probably look like a hooker and act like a spoiled princess. Because that's what girls like these days.

  • i remember this i was like 5 when this came out

  • I Finally Found It!!!

  • Seriously, did everything Robbie Rist touch turn to shit?

  • Looks like that way...

    Damn you, Cousin Oliver!!!

  • Eh, don't blame him. I think it's more likely everywhere he stepped already had dog doo waiting for him

  • I remember watching this Saturday mornings with my bowl of frosted flakes. I really do miss the 80's.

  • Tears in my eye's ..... Cheers for pure

80's at it best shout factory should put this on DVD just like they did with Small Wonder .

  • I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes yes yes!!!!! this has been in my head for a while .i wish i could go back in tme to the 80's it was much simpler then

  • OMG! I had such a crush on live Kidd Video when I was a kid.

  • the kid with the glasses talks for Gaara from naruto's brother.

  • @kashinbriefs Actually he [Robbie Rist] plays Choji. Kankuro is played by Michael Lindsay.
