@MrVeeBlog I've watched noah from the start and he's ALWAYS loved webOS. They don't push just one platform at all. they review whats modern and coming out at the moment. With so many new android phones coming out thats all there is to review. The hardware and company management didn't properly manage webOS, and actually my phone is a Palm Pixi Plus, and its the only smartphone I've ever had, besides the Pre. Noah Always Loved webOS, watch his Pixi and Pre reviews.

Sad to see webOS have to go out like that. I had a Palm Pre for a year before I switch to the Evo 4G. While I enjoyed using the UI I always felt like I had nothing to do with the phone when I turned it on. The best apps never came over, the OS was slow and upgraded hardware never came.
There are people now still using Palm Pre's two years later and I still have mine sitting in the closet. Hopefully webOS will be able to make a comeback and gain traction somehow some way.

TouchPad can already be OVERCLOCKED to 1.5GHz. Check your Preware or PreCentral forums. Patches and overclocking polishes up the many hardware issues that has plagued webOS devices when in stock mode.
WebOS has so much potential and many reviewers who have experienced all OSes have known its brilliance all along. You can't make a judgement based on 10-min demos at the store. It takes weeks to fully understand an OS.
$99 for a TouchPad and already sold out like crazy. HPalm should have catered the lower-end and never go toe to toe vs Apple or Google in the premium segment since Palm never had deep enough pockets for it. Attack developing countries in Asia.
Consumers are price-sensitive and you can gain alot of traction based on price. $99 for a 16GB tablet is dirt cheap and could make a great spare iPad or Android tablet. HP were just to stupid giving out broken promises to webOS fans.
Yes I agree HTC should buy it, they have a large enough share of the market to help bring it back. Plus webOS has many perks such as a great UI and implementation of gestures that could be great for HTC phones. The only thing they should improve is boot times and fixing the bugs

This video genuinely made me a bit sad, even though I don't really know anything about WebOS. Noah is usually just such a happy, energetic guy, and I love his videos. It was just depressing seeing him genuinely upset about seeing something he loved slipping down the drain :( I hope something good happens with WebOS. Good "rant" Noah.
I'm actually also disappointed that they are killing the Touchpad, I was actually thinking of getting one instead of an iPad, to me it was a real competitor to an iPad, and yes I realize it had some issues, but if they resolved those it would easily be one of the best tablets around, the multi-tasking easily is the best out there.. @mwk323 no it's $100. Currently only the canadian stores have it for $100, but HP told all retailers to put it on sale for $100 tomorrow. Go to bestbuy DOT ca and search for the touchpad adn you can see it's on for $100 and $150.

$99 for a 16GB TouchPad
Cheap for a tablet and better alternative than some of buggy Android tablets from more obscure brands.
HP's hardware held back webOS. Would love to get a Pre 3 unlocked for dirt cheap. Would love to overclock it.

personaly i think webos is the best OS out there but none can produce (at least fast enough... cough cough HP) a device with the hardware resources... and in a told other direction tablets?? based of features and compatibility i would give the the ipad a 6/10 but if i had the chose between a ipad, touch pad, playbook, and an android tablet i would pick the ipad casue it WORKS i can turn it on and it does what its suppost to and when it doesnt apple is responsive to the problem.

I disagree on the tablet thing though ACER and Asus are doing better but the market is over saturated with apple since they are the ones that came out with the working tablets in the first place. i'm hoping like you someone will buy the tablets, desktops and laptops and continue producing them they aren't over all bad pc's just that HP got cheap and tried to cut too many corners to keep costs down and it bit them in the butt in the end. they are giving up too easy though

HP cut thier own throats when they bought Compq and instead of making it more like HP they made the HP stuff more like Compaq instead, cheap builds sub par parts etc wrong way to go they should have bought Compaq and killed the line entirely then just kept on with their normal quality of the desktops and other devices. i too had higher hopes for the Web OS platform hoping someone comes out with a hack to allow the tablets to have android installed on them. BTW your audio is jacked up on this.

WebOS Joining Sprint Was Not A Bad Move, Joining HP Was. Obviously, HP Killed It. WebOS Was A Good Idea With Poor Implementation. Broken Tech With Broken Promises. 3 Times My Pre Logged Out (On It's Own) And Wiped Everything Off The Pre. That's Worse Then Getting The To Many Open Cards Warning When Nothing Is Open. Anyone Burned By WebOS Will Never Own Another. No Company In Their Right Mind Would Ever Try To Continue Creating New WebOS Devices, So Stop Worrying If HTC Will Pick It Up.

I'm genuinely upset that I spent $600 dollars on the 32gb model and another $50 on a case and now it's worth pretty much half it's value or less. ...was my first HP purchase. Will be my last, and will tell all my friends to Boycott HP, even joined a Boycott HP page on FB. Worst customer experience I've ever had with any company.
Lost hundreds of dollars after owning my TP for less than 25 days. HP said they wanted to put it on PC's that it was the new master of the universe...all BS. Dirty ***!

This video genuinely made me a bit sad, even though I don't really know anything about WebOS. Noah is usually just such a happy, energetic guy, and I love his videos. It was just depressing seeing him genuinely upset about seeing something he loved slipping down the drain :( I hope something good happens with WebOS. Good "rant" Noah.

I'm actually also disappointed that they are killing the Touchpad, I was actually thinking of getting one instead of an iPad, to me it was a real competitor to an iPad, and yes I realize it had some issues, but if they resolved those it would easily be one of the best tablets around, the multi-tasking easily is the best out there.. Sad to see it go already..

@mwk323 no it's $100. Currently only the canadian stores have it for $100, but HP told all retailers to put it on sale for $100 tomorrow. Go to bestbuy DOT ca and search for the touchpad adn you can see it's on for $100 and $150.

Palm should just have catered a lower-end market and try to succeed in developing countries. If you want to have a rapid early adoption and gain volume, market in Asia!
Nokia has done this for years. RIM is doing it right now especially in Indonesia. Asian market is the most populated continent with China and India in the billions.
LG has made shitty phones with shitty OSes and they are Top 5 in global volume sales just by catering the lower-end. The next victim might be Sony Ericsson.

Wow what a travesty!!!! /sarcasm Ok seriously, they may not be in 200,000+ range of subs like this channel or SoliderKnowsBest but when it comes to most subbed tech bloggers here on YouTube they're in 3rd place right behind them. Way ahead of others like PhoneArena, MobileTechReview, etc. and they reached the 100,000 sub mark after Noah's departure btw. Just saying
