  • in the video you should specify that it is type two diabetics whose pancreases get overworked, and have insulin resistance.....I'm a type one, and people tend to think that it's all diabetics who have insulin resistance.... but my pancreas just doesn't work.

  • Hello there! Have you thought about intellectus diet (just google for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my father lost a ton of weight with it.

  • Please share with me any tips as i am new to diabetes folks

  • excellent that's what i do except gineseng, i will try to find it,, sure regular oatmeal with cinnemon reduce too much blood sugar level.

  • excellent that's what i do except gineseng, i will try to find it,, thanks

  • you see with me Im sosposed to eat more offten and have larger food portions because I have no large instine ,,I dont absorb what I take in,,I cant have high fiber,,I cant have all the rougage,,like salads,,I cant be eating stuff with skin on it,,popcorn peanuts I cant have it could get caught in the small instine,,and cause bleeding,,now when your a dibetic (which i am) its all in reverse,so what am I sosposed to do,,the dietician puts her hands up and says try this or that.

  • I was told I had diabets in 2009 I was in shock that it happened to me,,but it is very diffucult for me to follow a diabetic diet,,I had to have surgery in 1990 because of chronze disease,,my large instine had to be removed ,,along with part of the small,,there are alot of foods I cant have,,if I follow an ostomy diet,,to maintain my weight,,I will go into trouble with diabetis,,if I follow a dietbetic diet Ill loose weight, and go into trouble there, either way I go

  • @cotolaix yeah of course u will be dead before they invent one because 1 i will also be dead so im not being a arsehole second they dont want to make a cure! if people did not have diabetes the drug companies would loose out on millions ! so thats why i dont think there will be a cure in our life time . do u have a valid point or are u just going to curse to make a point

  • @cotolaix yeah i have type 1 diabetes also , so i would think a person like your self would understand but obviously not !

  • The more you drink the more your kidneys have to work, and for diabetics that cheat alot and dont keep diet in order that means end of kidneys..

  • @cotolaix how am i being a ashole! just take some insulin! best proven way, its a tiny needle you stick in ur self and you can then eat as much as you want did u know this ?

  • Nice article I think its a eye opener for diabetics . But I think food also plays a vital role in diabetes. Not only medicine there should be some kind of logical scientific diet which can be taken along with medicine. Here in Ayushmaan pharma(India) we are making a nine Indian herbal anti diabetic extracts as a ayurvedic medicine along with a specially designed food for diabetics. You can visit the site for ayushmaan pharma.

  • @ayushmaanpharma There is a diet that works for diabetics, low carb will return a type two to normal BS readings in weeks if not days. All of the diets are not as effective as strict low carb/high fat, people taking toxic meds cannot get off them on a regular diabetes diet, at least most of the time.

  • this is nonsense the blood sugar is an automatic system there is no way any particular food will change this system.

    this is a crackpot idea.

  • hey im diabetic and im also 20 yrs old... pls help me... im anemic as well

  • @BreakPics Have you tried a strict low carb/high fat/moderate protein diet, this really helps most type 2's who stick to it.

  • or you colud just take some insulin ?

  • This is Very helpful information.. i work as a pharmacy assist. in the Phil. i started 2b conscious(blood sugar) wen our diabetic customer said she taste sweet saliva in her awakening, i am not eating breakfast, no exercise since i began to work.. Thanks for this video..

  • I just became diabetic , thanks for this vid. I hope theres a cure in the future

  • Just don't drink any soda and eat crappy sugary and greasy food. But American diet is all about sugar and fat...

  • there is a cure ,dr whitaker, dr robert young ,dr joel furman

any and all of them can fix that

  • @davidgggggggg dont ull be dead before they invent one

  • hi iam sharija, i dont take a madicne but iam diabetic ,,, it was 121' or 221 plz tell me some one its is dignoses to diabetic??

  • 121 is just normal :)

  • hi iam also diabetic iam 24 years old

  • thank you very helpful! =)

  • If I have something high in glycemic index I start to feel sleepy within 30 minutes tops. It's really sad. I'm not a diabetic but both sides of my family have diabetes and I have diabetic like symptoms I get tested all the time though, I guess I don't have it because I exercise and I'm not overweight. I ate an apple and started feeling sleepy afterwards. A damn apple something that's healthy. I got a feeling this shit (diabetes) is waiting for my ass. I have to keep on exercising and avoid sugar

  • @Boogers4dinner Yep, drowsiness after eating carbs, I had that too. This is a classic sign of hyperinsulinemia. insulin resistance and prediabetes. I tried the low fat/high carb diet and this is when I started having these problems really bad. If I eat low carb/high fat I am fine.

  • I've checked out the vids of Dr. Cousens on how to eat when having diabetes. I am amazed on the results.

  • If you drink too much water, wouldn't that cause fluid volume overload? kindly enlighten me.. :)

  • You would have to drink a gallon/s of water a day (w/o excercise) to FVO, but the vid should be more specific about how much to drink. I aim for 2 liters of water per day, plust the coffee, unsweetened tea, blah blah.

  • im new with this apple cider vinegar & i heard theres a dif kinds of ACV (organic, raw, unpasteurized, pasteurized, raw organic, unfiltered, filtered plain) what kind should i buy, or what brand can u suggest me? bragg or heinz?

  • I had a gigantic bowl of popcorn w/o butter surgar is 299 this is 2 hrs later. How do i lower it?

  • I love popcorn toooo...but the same thing happens! Popcorn is a carb. Make a smaller amount when you get that craving. It's SO hard! I don't use microwave popcorn. I do it the "old fashioned" way on the stove top with "good for the heart" oil. Just salt, no butter/margarine. But I could chomp a lot. I am not even obese and I have diabetes. Just bad genes. : ( I want to strangle the un-diabetics who say "Just nibble on carrot sticks in front of the t.v!" ARGHHH LOL

  • ?Ermmm.... Your worrieing about not being obese and having diabetes...

You knnow that , diabetes isnt caused by being obese, unless it type 2

  • Most of the time, yes, DM2 goes hand in hand with obesity. I was diagnosed w/DM2 and I am not obese. It does run in my family, but usually doesn't "hit" until an elderly female becomes obese! I am just unlucky...not elderly and not obese, but still is DM2 (according the doctor).

  • :P I am not diabetic, but I wanna be a doctor when im older (laugh all u want cos im a guy...)

so im starting to getting to learn all this stuff already :)

  • NOT laughing Meeps!!! Props all the way.

  • :D thanks, your like the only one ive told that didnt laugh :)

  • thank you for posting this! i really appreciated it much! thank you!

  • It is very interesting to see that a very vocal "expert" on diabetic diets has gone "low catb". See Mendossa-

    Diabetes Update Number 114: Low-Carb of January 1, 2008.

    Also he recommends Dr. Bernstein

Dr. Bernstein's next LIVE Tele-Seminar is Wednesday, July 30, at 8:00 PM EST, 7:00 PM CST, 6:00 PM MST, and 5:00 PM PST.

    Hope for diabetics yet

  • Glycemic Index is based on faulty science. The basic chemistry they used in determining GI is not correct. Please see-

GLYCEMIC INDEX- why it does not worK ?

Just copy and paste into SEARCH box.

Glycemic Load is based on DIRECT measurement of the glycemic response to a known weight of test food. No calculation or estimation of GI from apparent weight of contained CARBOHYDRATE is needed. Although the GI Researchers can't or don't want to understand this, it is a fact
