I have a similar problem. I opened a door with that same thing. Died inside and now I am on a spot where i can't get to that golden thing. I cant jump or run back to it cause I'm on a high spot and just die >.<

I'm gonna try that thing :O I hope it works, I'll be back to update :)

im stuck here too..i downloaded the file mentioned and extracted it in both my prince of persia folder and the skidrow one..the door still doesnt open..do i have to replay the entire game till this part again?or did i extract it wrong?please help

@sleeksteel I have the same problem, but I get stuck where you first get the power to freeze water, then later on you press this button on the floor and you have to pass through shooting arrows and spikes on the ground. The gate does NOT open. I'll try this fix, and hopefully it works.
